* Corsairs gains nothing from current alliance. Order do not help at war with outcasts. Defend of gamma? dont give me that. THe answer- you dont. I was flying quite a lot on my corsair character, and fought Outcasts in gamma about 8 - 9 times. No order shown up.

That's because we've sworn to stay out of your petty little outcast-corsair conflict. Ironically enough, the corsairs provide nothing to the order at the moment either.

* Its canon. I dont know why, I cant explain why, but some from devs tells it - I do, no matter if it ruins my rp or do not complies with logical thinking. Yes? This is crap - not an argument. Same as: "It is becouse I say so" does not help to convince people on regular terms, does it?

Actually, it's not. It's only "canon" by discovery standards, the corsair-order alliance never existed in vanilla freelancer. Hell, you never even encounter corsairs outside of money-making missions in the freelancer campaign.

When discovery was relatively young, someone decided that The Order needed a major ally, and Corsairs were chosen for two reasons: they're close, and they're enemies with the nomad-worshipping outcasts. Neither of those reasons is particularly good, nor do they really warrant a full fledged alliance, which is why this controversy has come up so often lately.

... oops... But last time I checked about osiris is: "<...> Even the Corsairs want this vessel in active service although the Order is loathe to allow even it's vague allies access to this ship." And: "Special request or posted forum roleplay is required for Corsairs ID'd characters to use."

Special RP isnt required for the corsairs to use an osiris, to my knowledge, since the ship is sold on one or two corsair-owned stations. According to the tech guidelines, if something is sold on one of your faction's bases, you can use it regardless.

The plans for the osiris were given to the corsairs - although stripped of most technological advantages the ship has, in-RP. The Corsairs have been building that ship for a long time now, and I see no reason to remove their ability to do so - however, I think that two versions of the Osiris need to be created, with the corsair version having a different name and perhaps altered stats - this way, if the alliance is broken, there wont be issues with the corsairs who do use the ship.



We've been discussing this amongst order high command for quite some time now, and most of us are in favor of removing this alliance in favor of a neutral stance between our two factions. However, nothing has been made official or announced yet, and until then nothing will change.
