help please (characters gone?!?!?)

Ok, please only an administrator read this for players will have and offer no help in this matter.

Ok. This is what has happend; i recently got windows 7. as i whent to install it i read the options i had, "upgrade (where i keep all files for everything and lose nothing)" and "custom (where most files are kept and some can and have a chance to be lost)". i clicked upgrade and it all whent well until; i went to freelancer, started up discovery and then disaster. apparently my freelancer ID was reset somhow during the installation.

i had no idea of such a thing happening since i selected upgrade, and now i have no characters or any money... this bring me to my next point, is it possible, in any form, for me to identify that i am the owner of the lost accounts and get them restored? please please help me, i do not want these characters lost:(





p.s i am able to provide details such as, ships, names, weapons, last place of death. and location of them at the current moment. please get back to me as soon as you can. cheers, darkgravity.
