So what tactics/strategies did you use in the KNF/GRN event?

I saw how KNF forces were being butchered by waves of GRN Valors at the Tau - 31 gate. We kept spamming battleships which were no match for the Valors. After a while, I decided to use another tactic, shared it with the KNF. We had a lot of dessies this time round, like 5. KNF dessies in my opinion are really overpowered, their practically 1/3rd the size of an Obstinate, and better manoeuvrability (both of which gives them an immense advantage in a battlespace filled with asteroids due to cover and not colliding with asteroids) and have access to Light Mortars.

Some bombers went up ahead to Orkney and reported 3 valors and several other cruisers, so I devised a plan in which all of the bombers and battleships were to remain and lure the Valors into the Tau 31 gate construction site, while all the dessies flew 20K away from the site. At the moment the enemy begun their attack, all of the dessies would cruise back to the gate construction site and flank the enemy from behind. it looked promising.

Unfortunately, the Battleships began to move forward while the enemy was still preparing for the attack. My destroyer wing was ordered to follow the battleships as well, and then we got ambushed by several other Valors and Obstinates and were heavily outgunned. We basically fell into THEIR trap...

Anyways, what tactics did you guys use while fighting your battles in the event?
