So what tactics/strategies did you use in the KNF/GRN event?

Here's what I did as fleet commander today:

Hold at the Yamaguchi in Tau-31 until we got enough forces to beat back Valor swarms.

We got 3 battleships, a whole ton of dessies, assorted light craft. Everyone advanced to the Tau-23 JG on main engines. Fighters scouted ahead. We heard that there were quite a few Valors at the gate (6 or so). So we had the battleships continue to advance on normal engines, and open up at max range. Meanwhile, the destroyers thrusted ahead and attacked from the left flank, off the main axis of attack. This way, we used the Valors as cover against other Valors so they couldn't all fire on us.

After that, just focus fire on one valor after another. Ignored the hostile cruisers and gunboats for the most part, while we dealt with the battleships.

Basically, the Kusari Battleships were the anvil and the dessies were the hammer.

Oh, and we also had some forces on the other side of the gate to keep reinforcements from coming in. I think it was a single BS, a couple dessies, and a bomber or two.
