Did you call Jeremy a moron and/or sad loser?

That's gotta hurt.

Yeah, I learnt the lesson. Any club you join that is anime related has people like them.

Also sorry that topic derailment. I was traumatized from that time I accidentally took a look at her "Hardcore" folder. It has been permanently engraved itself in my mind. I am now afraid of her.

On topic:
Technically, you can do a specific cosplay or a generic one. A specific one would be say...Goku from DBZ. A generic one would be dressing up like a Butler.

Generic is easier because you may be able to find clothes at home that you can mix and match to form your outfit. Also, you don't have to find a specifically made suit for that character as any regular set will do.

Making your own costumes is difficult if you cannot sew. Buying is the easy way out but is costly.

Costumes can be made more complete by using wigs and even coloured contact lenses.

It all depends on how hardcore you are. Do you want to dress all the way up in a NGE Plugsuit complete with Shinji style matching wig and contacts, or do you just want to go for a plain looking generic costume that wouldn't grant you that much attention?

Also, if you cosplay at an event, be prepared to have your photographs scattered all over the net. It will happen.
