' Wrote:That's a different issue entirely. Nothing is stopping Indie Outcast pirates operating in Liberty. Nothing stopping Liberty Rogues trying to shoot them. I merely asked what happens if 'dealing with it' means Outcasts start fighting back with both their might and their wallets.
' Wrote:Well, there's balance really. Allies don't attack allies unless certain parties are breaking rules. If there's a rule between Outcasts and Liberty Rogues about pirating in Liberty, which forbids Outcasts from pirating there then that's fine. I just haven't seen it though, could be under miles of forum RP.
The problem comes when two parties who should be acting as somewhat allies start shooting each other, which is bound to happen with a situation like this. I would like to know what happens to the rule then? How far are either party allowed to go in their rush to get their turf?
Ok, let me spell it out for you.
I, leader of the Liberty Rogues spoke with leaders of Outcast factions
I do not want to be shooting Outcasts, it is bad for business.
OC faction leaders don't want us to shoot Outcasts, it's bad for business
I do want OC indies to stop being a pain in LR-'s anus and screwing with LR-/OC RP
OC leaders do want OC indies to stop being pains in LR-'s anus and screwing with LR-OC RP
LR- does not go to the Taus or Omicrons for anything other than trade. Nothing more.
101st, XTF to name a few factions that aren't your typical Liberty OC lolwut do not come to Liberty
to pirate, only to trade if at all. Nothing more.
LR indies DON'T go to the Taus or the Omicrons to act like prats
OC indies DO go to Liberty to think they're the next best thing
and deserve a right to use our bases, our supplies and our women.
LR- have a business alliance with those official OC factions. You know, the ones that rule the Omicrons on the OC side. We don't have any alliance with dipstick OC indies. They're welcome here on the same principal as the official factions. That means they're required by our lore, yes the OFFICIAL factions, on behaviours deemed acceptable in each others respective spaces. That means, in an analogy you may or may not relate too, I can take the booze to my mates party, but I can't go there and drink his booze and piss on his lawn. That's just plain rude.
You getting it yet?
It's like a DSE being vigilante, LPI are going to find that illegal and are going to tell you to faff off or guns start blazing. It's the same concept, but on the other side of the fence.
EDIT: And for the record, this is my official stance. You don't have to like it, but you're gunna have to lump it. It's not changing.
I am not going to argue this point again.
