Actually, I never used my CD.. Was in an Eagle, so I didn't feel like blowing up along with you.. You rammed your Nova Mines (back when they had 200m exp radius) each time..

Same here Morrigan. This is why some of my chars don't use ANY of those except tizonas (which will prob be changing next mod release for me). When I get my 'construction paycheck' of 2.7 bil, I'm going to be making 4 fighters.. 1 will have Tizzys/Coladas/Codenames/Nomads. Currently I have 4 fighters. 2 with Nomad guns and stuff, 1 with just Disinfector 3s (and Tizonas, but again, might change) and 1 with just Lugars (Bundschuh, using Bundschuh weaponry. Eats my energy supply alive though..).
The reason so many use Tizzys is because taking shields gets hard, and they help drastically. I'd use civilian shield busters (adv. Debilitators) except that the speed on them doesn't fit ANY gun in the game, and is so different it screws the accuracy so bad its not worth having them at all. I think I'll be bringing that up in the mod discussions later on to get that changed.
And CDs mess up missiles by making them explode (you need Train CDs however). If you hit the enemy fighter right has it shoots missiles, the missiles will blow up and hurt the shooter, rather than you.

The problem with that Blunt, is that most fights have multiple people nowadays and you need to reduce the enemy's numbers asap so your side isn't massacred. Fighters are usually given the job of keeping fighters/bombers off the caps, and if they have to dodge till the enemy is out of missiles before they engage, they can only tie up one fighter and that would last 30 minutes. Usually you need to take out fighters in under 5 minutes a piece, so doing your technique won't work well. Only in small fighter/bomber fights only.
