I remember the old days... When someone made a Kraken Sabre Freelancer, nobody complained. The OC just showed up in the neighbourhood, demanded the guns and then shot him if he denied the request. Nobody complained, it was how it was.

-How you got that?
-I stole it.
-Then we want it back, one way or another.

That's nice, but there are people who have insignificant PvP skills and would die trying to "get their weapons back". And even if the thief was killed, what would change? Nothing. He would magically respawn, ship as good as new. This would only be useful if equipment not matching with the ID, IFF and reputation chart would burn when the ship was killed. Oh and that would mean that 6.10 would be much more pressed on.

Plus, I keep seeing lolwuts with wierd weapon mixes, today I even saw a Red Hessian in a Titan. So the chart isn't stopping lolwuttery when they REALLY want it.

It keeps people, who are already superior PvP-wise to become even more superior with Sabres, Krakens, Tizonas and Infernos at once. The balance is bad as it is, don't make it even worse.

Edit: It also makes people use technology they wouldn't have used otherwise.
