when i asked igiss if he was fine with the persephone to be added as a unique ship - i made sure that we would not speak of "deserving" something. - do the entire thing about ships being a reward or anything aside - a ship must be a contribution one way or another.

right now - i cannot foresee what an imperial gallic yacht might contribute - but mostly cause my interest and knowledge kind of ends where gallia begins.



however - when its about unique ships. - its also a "little" bit about the "discovery" factor. these ships are not always around, sometimes only roam randomly - sometimes stick to specific places. - but they have one thing in common.... they are uncommon.

other players that see them ask questions - have discovered something. - the name discovery has become a part of discovery that doesn t appear to be the manifest of the mod anymore. - the mod is huge - and it takes a player weeks to really explore it thoroughly - but many players have little to discover left.

( we have also had other ideas to revive the discovery factor )

unique ships can contribute to that. - but i would of course agree that - maybe not every ship must be totally unique ( but might be shared with a few others ) - and of course that unique ships that are not in use anymore ( necrosis ) might really be passed to someone else who might either continue the roleplay - or re-invent it.


as a whole - i think unique ships contribute to the mod in a positive way ( the ones that are balanced at least )
