You can't expect every single person you play your weird roles with to do research just so they understand your roleplay. Obviously, if someone doesn't understand the background and reasons behind you character they'll form incorrect ideas about your character and you can't prevent this unless you give every person a lesson on your roleplay before you even begin. You're also forgetting that some people actually prefer to be ignorant so they can continue to twist and look down on your roleplay.
Good point. But if people don't understand it, they can't comment on it at all. Though you covered that well in the last line
