Since Joe, you're navy boss... here is an example for you which I was thinking of:

Lots of people wanna RP navy, and go around asking people how to do it, and some end up doing a lot of police work cause they dont know what else to do..

Maybe we could make a "secondary fleet recruitment officer" which consists of a bar character on West point.

This guy tells people how to set up their ship, names, where to do missions, how to behave as a navy officer, and maybe gives them motivatn to do smoething, like fight on the front against the order in alaska or against rhineland in the southern systems.

That is an excellent idea. Using NPC bar characters to essentially info-dump on players is a great idea that may solve a lot of problems. However I don't see how it's related to your original post, and the title of the thread.

Essentially, the mod's content, background, and plotline will stay the same, but people would be better informed of it. That doesn't make it any more or less exciting or immersive, it just means people may know more about it. That again won't prevent people from crowbarring whatever their own personal fantasy into the fictional world that already exists in Disco.

I would support the idea of indo-dumping NPC bar characters though. Generally speaking, the news articles do that job, to an extent.
