Certainly such incidents decreases willingness to trade and create traffic

And the 'metagaming' is done by everybody, although some do it more and some do it less, but I doubt they will now quit doing it.

Yes it is. But, sometime for the good cause, to have fun while RPing. To seach places where to find RP. But to track certain target and log only for the sake of ambushing it is out of question for justification metagaming.
