So, based on the same discussion in that other thread, earlier I was in dublin, a merc flew up to me and said he was going to collect a bounty. I immediatly docked on arranmore before he could shoot me, and was about to switch into a fighter, when I stopped, and thought:
"Hey, mayby that would be breaking the rules, like we talked about in that other thread, and I would get sanctioned like last time"
So, would it have been?
However, while I was thinking, the molly npcs killed the merc outside, so, did that mean he should count as dead? After all, if the player interaction was still somehow going on when I was docked, preventing me from switching, - and according to the admins it was because i got sanctioned for switching remember - then he was still in the player interaction when he died.
I think this added annoying complication simply highlights the need to do awa with it, and just focus on the half shield rule - if you have half shield or less and dock, you died, if you never go below half shield (and dont attak the other guy), its as if it never happened.
P.S. to any admins reading: this event is NOT the one I filed the sanction on, even if it may look simillar.
