We'll find out, I guess. A Pelican is extremely hard to hit for a very large, TS'ing ship like a transport, and with superior agility can just stay out of their effective range, that's my suspicion.

I have a Cap8 Bretliner too, and yes, that would probably be an excellent contender as well.

And of course the Salmon has Cap8 as well.

Well not trying to spam in here, but is it possible that you enter more then 1 category?

Yes, it is, and thank you for bringing attention to that glaring ommision on the main post.

Also, I think 2 categories are bit unfair: HF, where one could bring SHF and steer/zoom anyone, since bombers are not included, or even AI drone.
And transports, where we have ships of all size and power. I wonder if any transport can deal with salvager.

Since this is the first tournament, we haven't decided upon many categories to keep things simple. The next one I plan to include Bombers and separate HF from the VHF's category. What we *could* do now is restrict HF category to either VHF or HF only.

Why do snubs have lower prizes than larger ships? It's not like they require less skill.

Also, I second the concerns about all non-LF fighters being in the same category, a heavy fighter can't do anything whatsoever against a turretsteering Arrastra.

I went around gathering feedback from people about the prizes, and truth is, there's not much we can give to LF's. Cloaking needs space for fuel, most can't mount class 10 guns, and besides the Cheetah and the UAU8, I don't see any suitable prize. Always open to suggestions, though =]

Also, folks, I originally chose Saturday because I conjured most people go out on saturday too and I didn't thought many would be able to plan time on that day to log. Since that maybe isn't the case, I'm opening a poll regarding the day of the event: either Saturday August 31st or Monday September 1st.

Guess you can make 2 categories: HF and VHF, Bombers and SHF.

Also, why prize should be mountable on winner ship? And even if it should, mk2 cloak for GBs and mk2 Adv. for cruisers makes no sence.
