I've only filed one report, too (trader switching for revenge), and I could've made a lot more. Seriously guys, its a game, so, to quote some quite famous peope, 'take it easy':)

We could dedicate an in-game banner to support talking to rule offenders before reporting them...

Any suggestions?

Great deal.

How about.

"Before filing a sanction report, make sure you have at least attempted to talk to the person you are wanting to sanction."

Or my personal favourite.

"Sanctions. A final resort, not a goal."

I go through phases of reporting, usually I'll PM a violator and chat to them but bein a Liberty lawman can take its toll and suddenley I snap and report that Outcast ID Outcast Destroyer for docking on Newark etc.. NY system is bad for violators, so bad..

I agree a little tolerance is needed, that said I think I have managed to get 3 modder/cheats banned by reporting them, so it's not all worthless. And I'm not talking about the blatant cheaters here but the sneaky ones.

I've personally never reported anyone mainly because I can remember how clueless I was myself when I started although there probably are a few things I've witnessed I should have reported.
I was always pretty sure just because I didn't report someone it wouldn't be long before he ran into someone that would so I didn't really need to.

I'm for giving the newer players a bit of leniency and telling them were they have gone wrong but if it's outright cheating/modding I would definitely report.

Hi, i`m quite new on the server, but i`m really shocked how stiff, intolerant and unfriendly most of the members of thgis community is. I know it`s supposed to be a server for RPG maniacs, but for god`s sake, the game is called "FREElancer".

I adress the whole community, everyone that has any influence here. You have made soooo many rules, that is entirely impossible not to violate any, when you start the game, and later on. If You think, that everyone will spend hours reading the forum rules, just to play with you, you might be mistaken.

Server is filled with people, that`s why the new gamers come. But you`ve overregulated everything in the game, i cannot understand it. Try other servers and ask, what people say about this one. I`ve heard things.

I hope everyone will understand my concern. I like the server and made some friends already, but too much rules makes players a lawyers. We want to have fun playing a game, lots of it is killed by overregulation.

Your suppose to read the rules no matter how long it takes... and then read them again hehe. It took me 50 minutes to read reread and fully understand the rules here. Some of them can be confusing and the no id rule should be forgiven if they are rep fixing and they get the proper ID and ship wihin a day or say. At least thats how i feal about it.

Ive had enough of disco for now. I might be back at the next mod release.
