The thing is, back in the day we did not have such lolraids like we do now. You know, a bunch of peeps gathering up in scyllas or small transports and just wrecking everything in sight in ny, because, as it was already said, the unlawful vs lawful ratio was skewed dramatically towards the lawfuls.

Phantoms added that element. It was new. It was scary. It was fresh.

Now what they did back then has become an everyday moment in NY, Omega 3, Alberta and so on. It is not new anymore. It is not scary.

Let us remember them as a faction which brought fear in their targets and let them be. There is absolutely no need for this.

This is just another example how disco likes to hold onto past and not letting go.

Keep them out, their stories on forum and wiki serve them as a monument of times when they made sense and were exactly what they were supposed to be, scary.

Eventually rework ships and open them for use/or keep them for SRP.

Good question...

What if... instead of continuing from where the old phooms stopped, except with a toned down, more realistic version this time...

What if... something new would be started from complete scratch, except it would start from the foundation of which the old phooms started from.

How would that be?

If it'll be nerfed phommies, why not just delete them, because nerfed Phantoms should be same as Outcasts.

Phantoms outlived their usefulness. They did their work. Beating dead horse won't do much. There's already a nice amount of dead factions in gallia(or gallia itself)/"famous" exiles and go on.

It looks like the whole situation has taken a bit of a turn.
Right now it is going to be less whether or not we should bring back the Phantoms.

Virus said no. Admins will not prove to us how things actually work around here, in other words, this will decide whether or not the roleplay material you create belongs to you, or does it belongs to the Community.

Old Phantoms died.

Replace them by something much more reasonable, toned down to the modern day standards. If they stay dead, at least we will not have random artifact of older times hanging around on the view. This or delete their assets alltogether.
