Conn as a roleplay concept

Looking at the responses so far that most people would be pretty nonchalant about it as long as everyone agreed and you didn't use Conn fights to justify anything inRP aside from a combat sim, maybe some betting/tournaments.

Seems like the best way to avoid potential flames in this thread due to arguing over semantics, misunderstandings, etc. would be to simply find people interested in your idea, build some RP around it, carry it out, make some posts, and demonstrate the fun people had using this method of resolution. Not much more to say.

I mean, unless you're determined to be the self proclaimed "one to cause flamewars"

It can be used in RP as is, just obviously you don't RP in the system itself. It was intended as a place for you to train and that's the way it should stay. Forum RP is for disputes.

Combat simulations should exist IRP, and conn would be the perfect place for that. Make it an IRP virtual reality environment. Even if for what ever reason two IRP enemies want to duel in virtual reality, why shouldn't they?

RP is not mandatory in Conn. However, you CAN RP there if you want, so I do not really see the problem. No one prohibits RP-ing in Conn.

Actually, If you think of it, Conn has already a simulation ground to begin with. Where you fight ships, however iRP, speech (Text) doesn't exist. so It's a ground for ooRP talk. or whatever.
