Why not set them with a 25m explosion radius, increase drain, give them 1/4 to 1/2 of the damage of a Nova, keep them slow firing, and turn re-purpose them for destroying equipment mounts on capital ships. It'll keep their firepower too low to take out anything heavily armored other than a GB, but allow them to contribute to anti capital ship action if they've cleared out the snubs.

Presently i've only seen some HFs and SHFs having more than just a single torpedo/cd launcher mount, and could add an extra reason to fly these neglected snub classes in fleet fights.

Can't you just leave the torpedoes just the way they are? There enough players who use them like they are now, including myself. There are enough things to fix in the 4.88 bug thread.

This!

Plus it's just more satisfying to use a torpedo against a Capitol ship instead of an energy based projectile. You know the guy on the other end is getting that "Incoming Torpedo" message. Keep them high damage, large radius, low tracking and slow. But still less damage then Bomber torpedoes.

So basically working as intended...
