What if it is fault of the wrongly written rules?

Quote:3.4 Fleeing from combat and then docking at a station or planet while you are in 10k range of the ship you were fighting counts as PvP death. Freighters and transports in this case may return to the system for the sole purpose of trading.

For one person, "this case" is PvP death. For other, it refers to the safe dock. Until today, I don't know who's right in this matter, because both sides have their own version. If official trading guild (won't say the factions tho) claims that returning for sole purpose of trading after death is OK, something is not right.

I think logging the trade characters after PVP death with other (combat!) character is acceptable, as long as trader do not pose active (in other words, is not hunting the pirate) threat. The reversed scenario however is not acceptabled in any case.

However, problem lies with that exact rule:
Quote:3.2 A player who was killed during a PvP fight in any form, must not enter the system where the fight took place or re-engage the attacker(s) for 2 hours from the time of their destruction, or until this/these ship(s) leave(s) the game.

Does that rule refer to one character that died or all characters, just tell me.

Could we stop discussing rules that are there for common sense and discussing them is completely unnecessary?

If I get sindroms point right, the problem is that traders and miners
are breaking rules by over-interpretation of the 3.4 rule and they re-entering the system
after they die using lame excuse that they allowed to doing so.

IMHO Basically traders are welcome to return to the system for the sole purpose of trading
but only IF they 'die in PvP' by DOCKING to station/planet in 10k range.
Otherwise (and by that I meant *blue message*) they are not allowed to re-enter the system.
Also I believe that it was stated already few times before that MINING is not considered as a TRADING.

#summon some admin for clarification or confirmation.

To make it really simple:

1) If traders die (get blown up) they cannot return to the system for 2 hours.

2) If traders are forced to dock (within 10k of the attacker) they may return to the system to trade only.


Therefore, if you die (get blown up) as a trader you may not return to the system for the next 2 hours. For any reason.

Simples.

That's the problem of the line. Because we don't know what exactly "this" reffers to.

What about returning with different trader, but other IFF as well?

As 95% of my flying is as a trader/transport, I don’t see a problem here, it’s expected to get stopped and pirated, yeah sure it’s a pain in the ass, as long as all traders/transports can understand that the pirates demands are reasonable, and that the pirate doesn’t “over” demand etc. etc., some are, some are not, so where do we draw the line on where it is or not?

If you died (got your ship blown up) the 'player' [you] may not return to the system.

If you log a new character it is still the same player, therefore the new character (or any other characters owned by the player that died [got blown up]) may not return to the system for 2 hours.

Unless:

1) The attacker(s) leave the game.

2) The attacker(s) give you oorp permission to enter the system again.
