There is a backup, but it is a snapshot-like one and re-rolling the changes made to his account would mean re-rolling the whole forum to the last point of backup. Which was.......around a week ago.
Then it happened now, yet the staff should consider adjusting their purge-button to either exclude the RP- and faction-sections or to just turn the posts in question invisible.

Well, no, it basically is there in the case of a member editing long-ago posts to hide malicious content before they have their account banned in a more conventional way. The honest to god embarrassing part is that we already found out about it outright deleting, not invisibling posts when we nuked an account two months ago. Though given the circumstances at the time, restoration did not come up for the part about the backup types to be mentioned.

PSA: If you have been having stutter/FPS lag on Disco where it does not run as smoothly as other games, please look at the fix here: https://discoverygc.com/forums/showthrea...pid2306502

Explain please how deleting threads helps when posts had been maliciously edited?
And why deleting anyways is still the question. Turning them invisible isn't an option?

Punishment is okay but...purging posts is basically worse than a ban that lasts 6 months, you deleted work, dedication, and love for a character, not even only for @"Sanja" with this you might just have made somebody leave this community, an advice for the Admins, try to punish players in a way that makes them think "Damn, I'd better not do that again" and don't delete hard work that ruins their will to play at all, I am disappointed by this, you could have done better, you exist to safeguard the community and make sure that members keep their fun playing despite breaking rules, ban for months, no problem but purging is worse.

Actually I just found out that the deletion has cost us an integral portion of our lore.

That's what I was afraid of and concerned about.

Which proves my point, I hope Auxesia is not "damaged" by this and that @'Sanja" doesn't leave us now.

It's a crucial component relating to the restoration of our flagship via a transmission to the Legion in order to obtain access to Leniex. A few MDs are also missing as well.

It is a tool that is used in cases where there are reasons to believe that a member has edited their older posts to contain material that they were banned for. For players who cheat, for example, it would prevent them from editing their first post from years ago to include a full tutorial on how to cheat, had anyone bothered to go ''Who was this guy?'' and tried to look for their posts.

There is no option to invisible all existing posts, only newly made ones - a form of punishment.
In short, the idea that it would impact other roleplays was obvious, but it was done with the idea that certain sections worth of posts can be restored from the backup.

Which turned out was not how the forum works, no.
Really, all I can do is offer my sincerest apologies for the players affected by this punishment, as I was the one to suggest it in the first place.
