I would say "yes" for the starfliers. it's pretty lame going through all the systems just to get an eagle.

I wrote a really funny FL story, but it disappeared when the old forum went away. So, no lulz for you today.

I never ordered your death, nor your attacker (the Defender =LSF=) wanted to kill you. Just wanted to damage you a bit or shoot your shield down (to destroy the recon equipment so you couldn't get away with field information/RP). . . . But umm for that part, everything worked, except when you bounced into a rock then into him shieldless. XD

We don't kill ships setting up, but we may do some RP, or we do what we could call "a partial pvp" where we don't try to kill the intruder just damage a bit or bring the shield down

However, I don't know if the other fighter (a guardian or an avenger [indie]) shot or attempted to kill you.

EDIT: if you don't want to be bothered, just PM before getting into system/scanner range

For Heaven's sakes. No matter if it's Alaska or Omicron Gamma, I feel that if there is a starflier in the outer systems, it is most likely they are out to set up a character. It is hard enough for them to get where they need to go fighting the NPC's let alone having to deal any human player. Give 'em the chance to get set up, then deal with them if you wish..

There doesn't tend to be a problem with moving past any LN, LSF or LPI gaurding Zone 21 when your setting up. If you haven't transferred your money yet then your level is far too low for them to take any action by force. So they tend to ignore you or warn you at the least. In other words, there really shouldn't be much of a debate about it.

Yeah, if I was guarding the place and someone asked privately in advance, I'd simply pretend he wasn't there.

That said, due to the ease of givecash, it might be better to slip through as a Civilian IDed Starflier and transfer the cash when you get there so those not in on the "we're letting him pass" thing still can't shoot you.

Yeah i know what you mean, I hate those guys. The guys that say "well jumping to alaska now, so long suckers". It's pretty damn annoying.

It's irrelevant
Nobody Cares
Nothing can or will be done about it

I can see these people sitting behind their keyboards saying "tehehe, i got away with it". They just stir up flame threads.

Oh wait...

Anyway!

I see people who are setting up as nobodies. Non characters. Not even NPCs. They are sortof invisible and outside the game, thats the way i'd prefer to be seen when i'm setting up. Just to unveil my character when everything is in order.
