If it gets "too stupid for words", then it is time to reconsider the profit to expenditure ratio. I commend your attempts at role play and encourage you to continue. It is the folks determine the outcome of a successful encounter, not the location. Unfortunately, there are some that just don't get the concept. For my part, I try to be patient, as I recognize getting all butt hurt over it isn't going to change anything.

Example, Fyre was moving to Liberty on a simple patrol and was fired upon by some folks... no reason... none. Now Fyre is a TAZ Guard... so she appears red. (I suspect that was the issue.) Rather than take her gunboat and blast away... which was considered... (the pair of medium level fighters would have been no match for her) she opt'd to simply carry on. It was clear that communication was in the toilet at that moment... so role play was out of the question. Frustrating yes? Worth a chuckle later in the Bar... absolutely. Worth anything more than that.. nope.

this is funny .I just logged on a game and guess what 2 crusier attacked a guy near fp 11 breaking the rule and oorp in sys. Where is this "calm down"getting us .We are just letting em broke rules without even slight punishment .They are just gonna get worse

It can get annoying, I remember yesterday we were hit something fierce (sort of blind-sided, really, never saw the battleship coming), with the only RP being 'I'll show you my darkness'. The only thing you can really do is sit around the edges of the system and try to RP from there. Maybe someone will respond. If you can't win the fight, just don't go in for it is what I've done in my experience.

I should know, being the original infected cruiser;)you may have more firepower than the normal Nomad LF, but you're a larger target too, and you have to make your moves wisely, or you end up scrap. I believe I've managed to only die 4 times... not sure though...

EDIT: And if they break rules, screenshot and report, simple as...

Like Treewyrm said, relax, maybe take a break from that specific character. Personally I've had some of the best RPs in Delta, but also a lot of "omgomgkeeltehnomad!!!11"

If things really get to bad, do what I did to my Blood Dragon gunboat Urufu, delete the character.

Basically though, 'tis all about the fun.

this has descended a "little" now - but lets just say that - respect other peoples roleplay as much as you want your own to be respected - or better - respect others RP more than you respect your own.

some ppls RP ( like mine ) is to simply ignore the nomad babble. - i view it as manipulative - and once you "agree" to let it sink in - or even to respond to it - you re opening up a mental level, a door through which a nomad can slip in.

by not reacting - and defending ( RP is to only attack, when the nomads really enter the 5k safety perimeter of FP11 ) - that IS my RP. - not going out and hunt nomads - but also not communicating - ignoring them. - again, that doesn t mean that i wouldn t appreciate their system chat. - its an ambient feature that fits in .... most of the times.

roleplay has so many sides - and ... none of which is THE TRUTH, really. whats the utter truth for one is an outright lie for another - or even disgust. - what beautiful and logical is illogical for someone else - it is very hard to determine whats good and whats bad - one cannot judge over others, cause what you see from others is only a very fraction of their motives. - they might have low motives - but they might also have deep ones - just cause i cannot see them doesn t mean they re not there.
