Going off those 4.85 IDs that are sitting around wherever, seems like
Lane Hackers and Unioners and Liberty Rogues are hostile to everyone,
LWB and Bundschuh can ally with rheinland against liberty invasion if they choose,
Xenos can ally with liberty against invasion if they choose (but Im guessing liberty wont be being invaded?)
and then the Red Hessians have the option to either defend Rheinland or work with the LN in their ID. If these are official or true or whatever, then it seems the outcast alliance will remain intact, since only the hessians can fight, and even then they're still restricted to their ZoI. I guess which way the hessians end up going, if either side, could be a big factor.
Personal LWB opinions would be under no circumstances an alliance with Liberty, possible alliance with RM depending on how they act/how the war is going.
I believe if rheindland and liberty goto war, it will eventually lead to a universal war. Think about it:
-Liberty would goto bretonia for help
-Once bretonia is in the mix, kusari would go after liberty
-it would be liberty/bretonia vs rheindland/kusari
Only thing is, liberty is at a sort of downfall if it were to lead to that. To the north they have to worry about kusari, and to the south(ish) they have to worry about rheindland. Now to address your actual questions:
Quote:So, what about the Rogues, Xenos and Hackers? ( I think I can guess the Xenos...). I think rouges will team up with rheinland. They do hate liberty after all. Xenos will probably go free for all and attack both sides. Hackers......not too sure about them
Which way would they jump if they saw Rheinland military raiders in Liberty? They would probably grab some rum, sit there, and enjoy the show....as long as neither invade thier space
What is GMG's position on this? no clue
What do the Bundschuh think about it ?no clue
LWB, opinions please? no clue
What about groups who are not directly involved? look above about kusari/bretonia. I would also think that ageria would love the new business opportunities building jumpgates from rheinland space into liberty space
How about house shippers from Kusari or Bretonia and the pirates who prey on them (Blood Dragons and corsairs etc)? I think the pirates would continue thier usual business
More trade? possibly, but if(thinking about players and not story line here) everyone is concerned about the war, they would constantly be on thier military character. Thinking about the storyline, of course there will be more trade. both sides will need constant supplies for building ships to replace ones that are destroyed, and they would need other supplies(food, water, etc.)
Will Rheinland/Liberty pirate loyalists protect them? no clue, but i think they will try to make some extra profits off this
Ignore them? some may
Pirate them? profits......of course!
What will be Libertys approach to this war? in my opinion, place a BS and cruise at every jumpgate and make sure no rhienlanders get in. kill without warning, and kill on sight
Will they offer bribes/bounties to smaller factions? i think both sides would, but after a while there will be bribes on both sides and both sides would have a massive force and the bounty would never get completed. I think each military wouldnt travel alone, so if a bounty hunter came after them, the hunter would go up against 2+ persons that have been highly trained
Privateer contracts? same as above to extents. If a privateer company got contracted, and one of thier members ended up taking a contract for the other side, then the company would fall
Find allies further south and free up the artifact trade (hey, I had to put that in, I'm biased tongue.gif). definatly. i know my pirate characters would love to hunt some military just for a bit of money
What do the Rheinland Military think about being offered assistance by their enemies?
(Probably grab it with both hands..). I think they would call a truce until the war is over, but keep close eyes on them just in case
Whats the RM's approach? im not RM so i wouldnt know
Will they offer 'incentives'? I think they would as long as their enemies dont turn on them
Maybe 'concessions'? is that the same as above....?

Rogues, I suspect would want to get rid of those rhienland folks.
I sure as hell know the xenos wouldn't want any foriegn invaders cruising around forcing libertonian men and women to eat sauerkraut and goose-step... >.>
The xenos are extremely nationalistic and proud of being libertonian. No foriegn goods nor foriegn people is best in their ideal world.
Lane hackers, I honestly don't know. I expect they wouldn't much care to be honest, (except their grudge is largely against ageira and IC both liberty companys.) so perhaps they'd side with rhienland... That would create tension with the rogues however...
Who knows.
I know what I'm doing with the xenos... fighting everyone, with smaller ships, less people and guns that can only shoot people within arms reach anyway. All good fun.

What is it with you people? Rogues do not hate Liberty. We're pirates not terrorists, we don't have any ideals for a better government equal rights or some such. We're petty criminals. We just want to be left alone to get on with our pirating.
Quote:The Rogues are a product of over two centuries of systematic lower-class cleansing that occurred on the Liberty planets of Manhattan, Denver, and Los Angeles. Relocated to the Texas prison system, many of them end up planetside on Houston upon release. Some stayed straight and joined the population scratching out a living. The rest returned to their life of crime, often ending up vaporized by a pursuing Liberty police patrol or back in prison for longer stretches, manning the prison factories that are the economic lifeblood of the Texas system.
Some say the massive LPI roundups of even minor offenders in Liberty have more to do with staffing these plants cheaply than reducing crime. Fresh out of the incubator of the Texas prison system, they have limited choices. Either they work in the factories of Houston for a pittance, join the Bounty Hunters and hunt down their former brethren, go radical and hook up with the Xenos, or rejoin their former partners in crime. The latter path is the obvious one for most. Simply put, these are not-too-quick opportunists, people willing to do whatever it takes to make a buck and get by until tomorrow. Usually they end up taking the fall for anything illegal that occurs in Liberty, whether they were involved or not.
The Rogues are generally a disorganized lot. They are responsible for most of the Trade Lane attacks in Liberty space and the adjacent Independent Worlds, usually operating in groups of only two or three ships, without much grasp of advanced tactics. They also provide shelter for the Outcasts in exchange for Cardamine. Recently they have become the smugglers for much of the Cardamine in Liberty space, supplementing or even replacing the Outcasts on certain high-risk routes. This has made them accomplices to the most persecuted criminal group in Liberty space. They admire the Outcasts, wishing they could be as smart and careful as the Edge World faction. But they regard the LPI as their ultimate masters, perhaps aware that soon they will probably be under the LPI's thumb once again.
THAT is Rogue lore. Read it, remember it, stop treating us like terrorists, and stop making your rogue characters act like terrorists.
' Wrote:The GMG will most certainly raise fuel prices... and profit.. doubt they'd go to war.
Well said, I can see GMG capitalizing on this war by raising prices and ramping up their mining and exploration operations. A golden age is arriving :yahoo:
Rogues will probably be quite dependant on the stance of Unioners. They have no real stake in either house winning, being pretty safe out in the Badlands and other assorted asteroid fields, just raiding anyone and everyone who passes by.
Hackers, being at the other end of Liberty to Rheinland, will probably be content to continue blowing up Agiera ships, possibly siding with Rheinlanders if they ever make it to Liberty's heartland, but probably reverting to blowing up Rheinland corporate shipping in the end.
Xenos simply shoot everyone, Rheinlanders 'coz they are foreigners who are trying to steal their jobs, and Libertonians for being corrupt, thieving dogs.
Interestingly, actually, the reason for the formation of the Xeno movement is based on the outsourcing of Liberty's jobs to Rheinlanders and Kusarians. If, as people seem to want, Liberty does declare war on Kusari (I can't really see this happening, Kusari (bar Hogosha/FA) have a pretty good working relationship with Liberty), Xenos may become a more lawful force, as Liberty would need to replace the Kusari and Rheinlanders who replaced the Xenos in the first place, so their main target would end up being the drug trade...
As for Rheinlanders, LWB is gonna be shotting any Libertonians in their ZoI (as they do already...), until the Rheinland government sees reason and hands back Stuttgart.
Bundschuh are more nationalistic revolutionaries, and, as such, would be hitting Libertonians in Rheinland.
Hessians are more likely to play both sides off against each other in order to wear them both down so they can pick up the pieces.
Unioners are the wild card. They may side with either side, they may chose to hit everyone's convoys, but the Xenos may have a word or two about letting them assist Liberty...
The unioners are another hyper-nationalistic group, focussed largely on worker's rights. But definately for the -rheinland- people. They would fight against liberty.
I expect most of the out and out pirates would ignore the war completly tbh. Aside from appreciating the chaos it would create, which would allow them to pirate more freely.
Don't forget about this: Rogues are at the very end of the Hessian diamond smuggling operation into Liberty, which is only going to get stronger now that... ahem you know what:P
I'd say it's rather likely they won't end up shooting any Rheinland unlawfuls or whoever they are protecting on the battlefield for that matter (single units of course), whatever they might be doing as long as it's not detrimental towards the Rogues themselves.
In short: the Rogues will probably stay out of this one, and just reap the profit while it's being thrown at them:P

' Wrote:It's arguable weather certain pirates such as the Bundschuh would side with Rheinland. As they are aiming to topple the reigime there. It may have the similar principles to the Molly - Kusari 'under the table' agreement.
It was the Gaians and the Kusari who had a deal. The Molly's aided the Bretonians by the way of helping to sling a massive mine field up around Harris.
