I'd say that my opinion would be something in the lines of that the people that'd be in it would work their butt off to make spitshined RP for it,
and that we'd not mind the objections, cause they'd get much milder as soon as we proceed with our RP and show that we can do quality work.
All for now from me.

In response to Del, I think making us face even more difficulty would be perfectly fair and the right decision. No one here wants to see Disco become a mixed franchise sci-fi wasteland (at least I would hope they do not). I could not be a part of this if it couldn't be seamlessly integrated into Disco lore.

One thing that might be intersting is perhaps a large scale attack on everyone by cylons or any other big and powerful faction (or perhaps a large short term alliance between "baddies") against everyone for a week or so every once in a while truning all of disco into a war for a day or two until the attack was defeated. it would be intersting who would be willing to burry the hatchet for mutual defence. something to mess up the status quo really.
I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.
In short, factions or projects that revolve strongly around the idea of interacting with another individual group generally do not do well in Discovery.
However, here's the rub. There's very little to stop you from not simply doing it. But I don't suspect that you'll find much success in a broader sense.
Rather I would suggest that you take the core idea of what you would like to accomplish and see how it might be applied in a way that allows for a broader scope of entertainment for yourselves and the community as a whole and see how it might be integrated in with the infrastructure currently in place within Discovery.
Thanks for the advice dusty, I think an idea that could be used to expand the interactions would be that cylons are relatively new to emotions and interacting with normal human, so they would want to interact with all types of humans to learn more about them.
This is true, but not about interacting with them emotionally, and on more even footing, and skin jobs are an entirely different breed of cylon. Also they know nothing about the people in Sirius, other than they or descended from some people they hold in pretty high esteem.
more imports is not a very good idea, also the colonial remnants are much more far from BSG RP than they were a very long time ago.
Plus, I've had a lot of very bad experiences with the previous Cylon faction, they were using a very glitched ship (kushan fighter I think) which always gave them very crazy advantages in the battlefield. Dev as well as in game tests proved that (we created a ship, with identical loadout, and fought against one of them, overkill, The guy was good only because of his ship, in fact he sucked bigtime)
So it's not a good idea because the previous faction sucked? Think I can fix that one, promise we wont use a glitched ship as well. As for being far from original BSG, i wouldnt even dream of trying this without integrating it into disco and removing it from BSG as much as possible. Based on their faction proposal (which im not sure if they submitted) I think the previous faction attempted this but I dont think they went far enough. The amount of change I'm thinking of here would be comparable to a re-birth.
As for imports generically being a bad idea I wouldnt mind hearing some support for that, actually, I think that belongs in a separate thread, im gonna go see if one exists already, if anyone else knows where one is offhand, give me a link would you?
