Yeah, I like where your head is at but Im not a big fan of this particular idea. Just figuring out who would win would take a lot of time and be somewhat mind numbing. Also as others have said I think indy RP can be just as important as faction RP, and to read through all of that, yeah, really doesnt seem possible. If people dont produce good RP and are trying to then help them by providing feedback.
If they aren't trying then SCORN THEM INTO SUBMISSION, MWAHAHAHAHA!!!
In Order space, sometimes we have RP events going on for over an hour and lots of people from different factions get involved like Hackers, RM, Order, Corsairs and even GMG. So, a RP event covers all these factions, handled good, will make voting impossible as picking one would simply be ignoring the others' contribution.
There is a Kudos topic about people, perhaps it can be used. Like getting loooots of Kudos from different users (not registered new users, I mean actual players hehe - no cheating) may get a "thank you" for the contribution of RP.
Sindroms: Admins are/were paying peeps for better RP already. The picture of the month competition started as the best RP conversation screenie. So putting forth incentives to promote RP is nothing new. This is just an expansion on the basic idea.
About the indies. I know there are loads of indies that do RP well. And factions/people who RP well will continue to do so. But for the sake of getting a winner I used the simplyfied method of having only official factions, because there are only limited number of them, so keeping track and counting votes is easier.
I think the money is not a object here. The reward could be 10 mil or 50 mil. The main point is recognition and giving credit. The kudos thread is one aspect of that.
What I had in mind seeing if this thing moves forward is that people would be drawn to check out, make learning trips, the RP the winners have. And possibly create a positive competition among factions to improve their own RP to win next month.
Anything that can possibly promote and produce more and better RP in the server is a worth look, right?
Sounds like a popularity contest to me.
No kudos for the many brilliant clans that probably aren't in the public eye enough to recieve recognition, and no motivation for clans that are already filthy rich.

No one cannot force someone to RP.
:nono:
Apart from the slightly lost translation ...
I do have to slightly disagree with that rather rash statement ... This is a roleplay server, that means roleplay
is expected from all of those playing here. There are rules to enforce that situation, in case you hadn't noticed.

not very good idea because its about how many members current faction have
for example Hessians have no chance how to beat Hackers or Liberty rogues, KNF have absolutly no chance how to beat BAF. There are also ppl (like me:D) which doesnt play everywhere or even people which play only in one curent house. For example I am playing only in Omegas and Kusari (+ Leeds and ocasionaly Rheinland), I cant objectively vote in poll because I know only Rheinland/Omega and Kusari factions and totaly doesnt know anything about those in Liberty, Bretonia, Omicrons, Taus or edgeworld.. and I believe Im not alone.
