OK Ive got to say my oldest ego boosting moment was that first step out of Manhat into discovery for the first time. My first glimpse of what RP and MMO was all about. I came outside and there was an Osiris right there and all these ships, I was sooo amazed, boosted my ego heaps about the fun ahead.

I have had a lot of people come to me asking how I got, and how to get, a Freelancer tag.

I THINK I was one of the few? people with one, if not, I had only seen one person with one before that.

This was back in 4.84.

I am glad I took care of it in a gunboat. (Heh)

I SNACed a Libby by accident once. I still had my SN weapon group selected from the last guy I just spoon fed a SNAC, and when I turned my attention to the Libby I blindly fired off the SN. And hit it. It was awsome.

I also stripped a Greyhound of it's guns and killed a Tiger Shark in one fight with my Stiletto in 4.84. Mk1 HF ftw. I killed a few Slipstreams too, those things are better than the stiletto in every way. Turning power, fire power, size. Still spoon fed him a few sunslayers, though.

Then there was the Osiris I killed in my Falcata. Me and a LABC in Conn took on an Osiris. We got it's shield down and the LABC went in for close combat as it was about to blow up. The explosion nearly killed the Osiris, and I finished it off with one more SNAC.

Not to mention the hundreds of millions of credits worth of Cardamine I've shipped to Manhatten under the noses of the LN and LPI, and not be seen or caught. Diversions are awsome.

And pretty much every Gunboat, cruiser and LABC me and Wolffe killed was an awsome fight.

But by far the most awsome part was when we had nothing but four fighters, (two Sabres, a Werewolf and a Greyhound) or maybe it was five... not too sure. But anyways, we were pirating and we decided to rob a freelance Bretonia Gunboat that came along. He opened fire and blew up Del's Sabre while he was chatting with the Xenos on the far side of the system. But we killed the GB with the three or four fighters we had left. Good thing the Werewolf is so tank or we would have lost another fighter as well. This was in 4.84 too.

A while back before I left Disco and it was still 4.84 I was chasing some Freelancer gunboat I had beat in Sigma-13 on my Outcast Falcata. I chased him to New Berlin where I destroyed him. Now about 5 Rheinland Military Wraiths came and I eventually killed all of them on my own. Needless to say I felt special. :laugh:

Wiped all of one of the Monstrous Maf's guns in my Liberator after he had taken out four LN/LSF and taking minimal damage himself. He sundived to try and reduce the shame in store for him.

Within two hours, I fought another Falcata outside Manhattan for over an hour. In that time, an Avenger joined my force and one (possibly two?) Saber his. We were still going at it by the time the server downed. It's about that time I made my LPI my primary lawful. Prepare to be Liberated!

The HF legion raid on NY.

We had a huge battle, I was the last (lawful) survivor (I dodged like hell) and was still fighting against a Falcata and a Sabre. We fought and fought and fought and ended up near Rochester; suddenly, two Xenos appeared. Together with them, I nearly killed both HF guys...then, after they both docked on Rochester, I was trying to type something when the Xenos suddenly turned on me.

A SCRA attack on New London.

We where three (or so) guys, heading straight for the Bretonian capital. Stirred up some trouble, killed one of 'em, then suddenly, they started launching their famous Templarspam. Soon, I was the only one left, and tried to flee; the Templars kept CDing me however. So I turned around and started shooting them. Already out of bats and bots, I still managed to take one of my 6 or so opponents down and almost had another one destroyed, when a missileboat appeared, asking "Do you need help?". In jest, I replied "Hell yes!", but then it shot me ;_; .

My Keeper application RP - got a lot of Kudos for that one. Same goes for a couple of other ingame RPs which I'm not able to count anymore:P(hey, it's an ego boosting thread, so I guess I'm allowed to show off).

[brag] The Hellfire Legion- the first faction i joined when i came to discovery, and have pretty much given everything i have for it. rose from the ranks of pilot first class to being the leader, doing regular raids, been through the ups and downs including a 'civil war' of sorts (basically, 2 people with big egos having a RL arguement which they took to the game, and made the HF suffer in turn), periods of inactivity to periods full of activity, events, and raids.

i think ive accomplished -alot- for the hellfire legion, with sufficient help from others. i got vespucci done for the HF, i got the faction status sorted out thanks to ench, i got the faction back up from its brief period of inactivity, and the latest event we did with the LN was a great success.

Ive supernova'd every LF (including both the gimped and normal nommie LF, and liberator), every VHF, and every bomber in freelancer discovery so far, with the exception of the kiith HF, the stiletto (i sn'ed its mk 2 counter part, the switchblade, does dat count?:D), the decurion, and the phantom, for the simple reasons i havent fought anyone who uses said ships.

ive accumalated over 80 billion credits in all my time on discovery, and at my peak of playing freelancer owned over 25 cap mk 8s. i -still- dont trade ( yay ), and i manage to test battleships on line instead of doing it the tedious way of going in openSP and the likes.

my longest kill streak in a waran bomber is currently at 6 kills in liberty, and my longest pvp killstreak in a single fight is currently at 26 kills ( joy ). the most funniest kill ive had is during the third public beta of 4.84, where i killed 3 shieldless chimeras with a nova torp, getting the rampage message, then dying myself:lol:gotta love vanilla vulnerablity:Panother kill was on spear, which was epically funny too. he was fighting ross' falcata, and i was in a fighter, i razored a missile spear fired which took out his shield, and literally a millisecond later, ross landed a SN hit on spear's hull. epicness

god i miss the old times, now mah aim just fails. thats what long breaks does to you:(

EDIT: when i took out all of the HF's battleships (4 cap mk 8 bs:P) to destroy 2 LN dreadnoughts, 2 indy LN cruisers, 3 gbs, 3 bombers, 2 fighters, and a LF in 4.84. that was fun. aint done overkill before, but now i know why people do it.:D[/brag]
