I would suggest having the full map upon the patch's release, leaving others to the discretion to whether they will use it or not. Restricting it isn't generally a good idea, if it means something important happens to fall outside of the online navmap. This is especially concerning for new and returning players, who should know what route to take and what is there in each system, and having a full online navmap could provide them with a lot of vital information they would otherwise not readily access.

To keep everyone happy, I would think it would be best to have it from Day 1.

Those want the mystery of what connects to what will just not look at/use the map.

Those that are happy to see which Systems connect to each other, but want to 'discover' what is in the System will just not click on each of the Systems.

It is a tool that no-one is forced to use.

Unless these systems are implemented in such a way that makes client-side tools pointless, I'd say keep it hidden for a few months, and give Intel factions and the Starfliers something to do with that time.

One way to obfuscate system connections is with server-side jumpholes first, then eventually drop a patch to implement ingame holes and patch the nav map at the same time, but I'm sure you folks already thought about that.

Nonsense. Those who want discovery, can avoid using all tools on their own.

You can simply not use a navigation map.

Plus there still would take some time to @Error to update nav map

I support the above notion: those who are eager to go around exploring may just not use the navmap. Some prefer, or are used to having it on hand, however - me among them - so, in my opinion, it has to be revealed from the start.

While the notion of discovering new things does sound nice, reality is that exploration in freelancer just isn't anything special. You're essentially just lawn mowing the system grid.

Those who don't want spoilers and like exploration can just not use the navmap.
