Err... no. I like the way it is lol

Battleships > All caps

Gunboats > Fighters & Bombers (could be anti cap too,but less effective)

Cruisers > Gunboats

Battlecruisers > Gunboats & Cruisers

Fighters > Bombers

Bombers > Caps

I do like the idea, but I dont at the same time, There are many times when a GB beats a bomber...

It's not all about firepower, Cam. Agility is the main factor I took into consideration here.

I think as the ships get bigger, it depends on the load out. of course, fighter beats bomber, but with the right equipment (and/or ship) fighter can beat fighter. Bombers can beat gunboats and up. Gunboats can beat bombers and lower, however, they can be equipped to beat larger class ships but making them useless against bombers and smaller.

the larger cap ships are in a different tier and the rules are slightly different but based on a similar principal based on weapon loadout. size doesn't matter.

at least, that's my theory anyway

I like it quite a bit, but cruisers still suck.

Why don't we make gunboats good at anti-fighter, the cruiser capeable of doing both but sucking at things overall (but groups of them will own, of course), and battleships pure anti-cap.

But yea - apart from cruisers sucking in your model - thats a very good impression of what life is like at the moment... but it all depends on the player of course.
