Stoat is dead right.

If you trade you WILL get pirated. Eventually.

The thing is, it won't happen every day and as much as I whine about pirates, they are part of the RP here and sometimes it can be sort of fun, in an RP sense.

Aside from that, when I'm in my Trader, being a little abrupt with pirates is very much RP.

Avoid TL's where you can, if a pirate disrupts the TL you are in, he has you dead to rights.

So it takes you a little longer, you aren't a powertrader right? RIGHT?

Find the jumpholes (NOT gates!) in systems you travel through, you can sometimes avoid pirates by using them from time to time.

Hand fly your Train or transport in heavy asteroid fields, use Ctrl-V to get to the cockpit veiw, you'll be surprised by how fast you can get through a large field that way.

Think in 3D.
You'd be surprised by the number of people that don't go too far up or down from the main plane of the systems.

Use the "Long Range Scanner" or your chat screen to check out who is in the next system you need to enter.
Sure it's not RP, but if you know there is a pirate there, you can plan to avoid them and you might even manage to get past them.

Your most powerfull gun is your wallet mate when you are on your trader.
Just realise that pirates are like a force of nature... you don't get mad at thunderstorms, right?
Would be pointless.
I have some of my favourite pirates, actually... A few times, with Mollys, pirating me actually changed to a hostage situation... and me paying ransom for some poor BAF pilots in their cargo holds... cramped... Or for a Missing Gateway VIP, who was found on one of their Barghersts.. it was good time, and I enjoyed it.

And, also, when I hit someone who takes 4 mill from me with about 0 Role play, I avoid them. Using the infamous "long range scanner", naturally. Take another trade route. Have another supertrader in another part of Sirius.

The game looses sense when you loose your nerves about it... it's just a game... you play it when you feel like it, when you don't you go play something else, paint, write, compose some tunes.. whatever is your kick in life ;-)

Why would you want to trade safer? Won't that bring you your "end game" faster? :P

' Wrote:Get a Luxury Liner with Junker tag and Zoner ID. That way you're in an uber ship and the pirates won't hurt you because you're neutral. As for guns, get some Colada and Kraken turrets. As for the best routes, trade cardamine from Malta to Crete and Artifacts back.

Did I miss anything?

You think mind junker iff or zoner ID if im pirating ? No I dont. Neither others. Well pehaps rogues. But their rp is something above reality, which would make any sense..

You think I was having srstiem? If you'd care to note, I also suggested he mix Coladas and Krakens. That may give you some idea of my intentions.

Not to mention Zoner/Junker ID's do not allow Luxury Liners.

For the Core.

I'm ok with smugglers, its only pirates who are mostly allright but some are just jerks venting/griefing around and using RP as an excuse. Like the dragon who refused my isk and blew up my all cargo instead (bomber, couldn't carry away much).
And I'm just trying to make the most cash in the shortest amount of time.

The shire is the 'safest' transport, i have all mk 3 turrets and a mk 8 universal armour upgrade on mine, so far today i have taken down a corsair GB (with help from a hunter), a molly werewolf and forced a gaian imperetor to run from meh (shire lacks CD).

I'd suggest you stay out of Colorado. The Xenos won't want your isk, whatever they are, either.
