Both of you, go read the info card of the Rogue Destroyer, now. Then come back and say the same thing if you can. The Rogue Destroyer is not an offensive weapon, it was designed for defense of our systems and stations.

Don't worry, since there's a ratio of 5 Outcasts to 1 Rogue it will most likely be an Outcast flying that cruiser anyway. I've seen a couple of them around recently, blew them up on my Vigilante. Plus the Rogue Destroyer is terrible at combat (so I'm told) so they're already more likely to buy an OC Destroyer already.
Personally I'd like an admin ruling similar to the Order Cap ships in Liberty one. We need less Gunships and more battlebarges.
' Wrote:Personally, I don't mind getting rid of rogue player-owned dessies, but I draw the line at getting rid of the "Drunken Codger" in the dark matter cloud. We need a "mobile" base to refuel, launch raids from and if all else fails flee towards shouting "eeeeeeeek!'', and I don't think a GB would quite work.
The Codger is still an Outcast Destroyer that's yet to be decomissioned. It likely won't change in the near future and if it is, then it'll probably change into a Rogue Dessie any way.

My opinion on this topic? We need to remove the Rogue Dessie for sale from Cassini. As for removing the ship from being Rogue altogether, no I don't think we should do that. When Cassini gets re-made we should have the current Dessies moved along side the new bases. We also have two Dessies in the LR, what do you expect to happen to them?
Make the Dessie only sold by the Mollys, but personally I don't think we should remove our ability to fly it.
I haven't read the other posts yet but I just don't get how the Rogue's, being one of the most disorganized factions ever (in terms of RP), would even have the capability of designing and building their own dessie (especially since their are very few educated rogues around).

Read the Scylla's infocard for gods sake.
Quote:Rogue/Molly "Scylla" Class Destroyer
Long before it became apparent that the eminent discontinuation of the RM-1 Outcast Destroyer would pose a severe threat to the tactical operations of their organizations, the Liberty Rogues and Molly Republic found themselves again meeting to discuss possible solutions to the heavy burden the technically complex Outcast vessel was placing upon their mutual resources.
With the decision that a possible replacement vessel could be in order, the best minds available were recruited at gunpoint and put to work in the utmost secret to craft a heavy capital class vessel capable of defending critical infrastructure against the heaviest of hostile incursions. Composed of a heady blend of the best in available Outcast operational technology and robust design ethos, the Scylla is the pride of the factions who crafted her.

The grey is a support vessel, bearing only four guns. And it's a HF. The barghest firs the role of a heavy hitting brick very well but sometime's we need something lighter like a Roc. The were is a monester, true, but you'd rather paint a big white "SN me Pl0x" sign on the side of it.

That would be awesome. And then in comes the waves upon waves of lawful ships, powerless to stop Godzilla as he obliterates Fort Bush...
