Well, Gallia is a big place, it's a new place and it's a restricted place. All these things means it'll be an uphill battle to get people in there.

I've seen the restrictions in Gallia as being more of a testing and bug fixing maneuver. A "Beta" version if you will. By itself, Gallia is really a cool place to just fly around in and when the restrictions come off and we have some actual affiliations with Sirian organizations, I predict a massive flooding of Gallia.

"The thirteen saloons that had lined the one street of Seney had not left a trace. The foundations of the Mansion House hotel stuck up above the ground. The stone was chipped and split by the fire. It was all that was left of the town of Seney. Even the surface had been burned off the ground.
Nick looked at the burned-over stretch of hillside, where he had expected to find the scattered houses of the town and then walked down the railroad track to the bridge over the river. The river was there."

Gallia needs more Gallic traders, and more trade routes inside it, as traders are the bottom of the food chain, without traders a region just dies. Gallic ships and stuff is awsome on a scale unparalelled even in the nomads imo, especially the royal ships look amasing, and im loving the bright blue guns (not to mention the 8.33 refire pulse cannons!). But without good trade routes and ergo traders, there is no point in any gallic pirate chars, and no point in any lawful chars to police/fight them.

In short, the only thing Gallia needs to draw lots of people is very good trade routes that run inside Gallic space, that would encourage people to make Gallic traders, and Gallic pirates to pirate them, and Police/Navy to try and stop them. Leading to a fully populated part of space.

And with the oppertunities to create all sorts of new commodities in the core worlds, Gallia should hopefully have some very highly profitable runs inside it i.e. for Gallic corp chars/factions.

If we can have this, Gallia will be very highly populated, and much more fun to be in, plus it would drwon all the OORP powertraders that go there now.

I have been in Gallia one week after the minefield was opened. I explored the systems and watched the beautiful setups. Really nice, I even like the design of the ships and the history of Gallia.

However I never came back afterwards. On the one side there are way too low player counts in Gallic systems and on the other hand... well, I just cannot identify with the factions in there. Maybe if common factions explore the area and start to negotiate with the Gallic factions that might change, but for now I do not see a reason to go there.

In addition to what Exile said, Gallia needs RP-oriented players that are willing to stick to the Gallic storyline and lore. Right now, the vast majority of players either use Gallia for OORP profit or as a PEWPEWPEW place.

I discovered Gallia in single player now and really liked it. Thats why i chose to give it a try.

But the server rules how to play the Council or the unlawfuls in Gallia is something i (or we if i count my 2 playing friends in as well) dont understand. And we did read the background.

Cheers
Fleur

I like the place, it's a shame there isn't enough players there right now and those i have interacted with have kept within rp. I do think that the restrictions placed on them isolate the systems a little but if you want to play there you got to work for it and i;m sure later developments will open the system up to more rp in the future.

Even with limited players so far, i've been atttacked by Marquis ships, chased by police and got myself into illegal smuggling for the Royal Navy. It's all about the effort and fun you put into it i guess (oh and rep fixing when you take the bribe)

Yes thats what we are planning:)playing there and trade with Kusari and Bretonia for now. But i will fight against isolation in the spirit of the Council even in the forum .

Been there on UK server & its a bit of a slog travelling from A to B when the Navy, Pigs & traders all hate you. Never had a reason on the main server to visit as Taffic (lovely guy that he is) does his core business in Bretonia. I keep meaning to visit, but I'm a local Junker at heart.

There's been talk of adding another house for years. Elephantine-sized labour put into the Gallic project got somewhat wasted though. RP restrictions prevent a lot of activity there, the distance form the staring point also don't help. Grand scheme that went wrong.

That seems to sum things up nicely.

Though there's a bit more. I originally wanted to make a Gallic trader, but there isn't really much fun to be had there, at least for me.

There also seems to be a whole lot of Gallia, all things considered. While I actually like the visuals of most things, it's already pretty good sized and there's apparently more incoming.

In any case, I think things should improve once the factions can really establish themselves.
