There are numerous other OOC messages broadcasted on the server, I don't see why should we confuse people with roleplay console messages. Some might even not get it entirely. Just let the people know what the heck is going on.

I agree. Specially since weird things may happen, you could something like:

"The gods of Sirius are having a party today and some drank a bit too much and decided to change some laws...such as gravity, etc....."

Sounds like a stupid wannabe. Warning is good, but just to say 'God make the place rumble' won't fit in Rp. Make it clear for even smallbrains (like me), so everybody can understand the message, please. I don't see a cause to write Rp in Console when Update Testing is getting on stage.

We get cycling messages telling us that our ID must match our ship and that Caylith is an admin and all sorts, I'm sure one that has the benefit of actually being relevant wouldn't go down badly.

I don't see how can a single console message interrupt roleplay.

1 single oorp message wont mess RP, even more taking into account the other 20 oorp messages you see in NY at any given moment.
Anyways doing it inRP would be better, so we will already know that the server may crash and when it happens we dont all swarm the fourms crying and whininng.

Most (RUS) people and such will leave the game forever though, but its a nice way to warn us all
