If you want something bigger, go into the Military/Navy.

Not necessarily, sometimes something heavier is required. I'd go as far as to say you could use Heavy Fighters too, but no super giga ultra fighters. I can't put my finger on where bombers would be though. I can't see two or three Libertors taking down a Rogue Gunboat without alot of time and effort.

As for the civilian/IMG fighters, it's quite a grey area. I wouldnt really like to see a Charon being used in any other faction but the IMG and/or Zoners/Colonials. It's a class that really needs to be defined a bit more I think.

And let also say that ROCs are a must in a police faction to kill those annoying unlawful caps when the Navy can't get on.

And the LPI doesnt exclusively use LFs.
Some Sergents and above are in Kingfishers.
And some people are having SWAT Eagles.
