@Beagle23

All factions are going to have some lulwuttery, which is why I prefer to remain an Indie for the most part, that wasn't directed as an insult to the Colonials, although now that I look at it I should have phrased it a little differently.

I agree with you Bob. If the Colonial ID was opened up to the community at large I think we could see alot of good coming from it. Faction development ect...

I highly doubt that lolwuts would suddenly flock to tau 44 to get their Zephyr's if this was done.

Ok , maybe we have in the factions our bad sheep , we are trying to fix it. Any help on that is more then welcome , my skype , my PM is always open for ideas , sugestions all you can think of .

However , note the problem with Indies. We prefer to be able to control players that are using that ID , so in case something happen , we would be able to fix it in faction.
Cause honestly , as much as love to have Citizens and not Military around all the time , i know from experience that indies are hard to control.

And if now people accuse us of "lulwuttery" , think of what will happen if let's say 3 indies appear with Zeph in a fighter fight like we had some days ago in a fight OC-CR .
People will blame us even more and then we are back to square one cause we can't control them.

I understand this is the same with practically every faction. This is why some people prefer to stay indy. They are still in RP under control of the faction, but have the freeom to do what they want, when they want, in the bounds of their RP.

If you noticed. This faction was created by certain people, its not vanilla, They have put their effort, time and lifes into this. And they kinda wanted probably no indie faction. And I fully agree. Outcasts hate their indies too and no wonder. A funny flyby who pretends to RP when all he wants is to damage the view on CR in general is just no no no and that is your aim.
Make IMG indie and do the same. I doubt it is that much interesting for so many people to fly around in two systems getting shot by outcasts.

Marshal , you have no idea. Every day people come to buy CR id and to buy the zeph to , and i quote : To pwn oc.

If we allow indies , we would have an invasion.

@ Atrieds2
The thing is people won't place blame on the CR faction, they will place the blame on the indies, it's the same way that you don't accuse the 101st of lulwuttery because an Outcast was OORPing during a Corsair raid.

Then you're being very unreasonable and showing the kind of behaviour that really doesn't support your point of view.

I can't give Nestel any orders, she's a Freelancer. I can yell at her, and it behooves her to listen because we've taken her in, but she can and on many occasions has taken the right to completely ignore me.

Exceeeept you said earlier in the thread you have very little experience with CR, so, uhhhhhhhhh

Okay, I don't get it, which position do you support here? :D

' Wrote:First, apologies, I assumed the best way to RP a Colonial style, or Colonial loving character would be via IMG, to keep you close, it seem I was mistaken. As for playing a Colonial citizen, I don't myself have the desire to do so at this very moment.

No problem at all, but if you're not actually interested in making one yourself, it begs the question why start this thread? You said yourself in your first post you understand it's a faction that people have put a lot of time, love and effort into themselves, but then that "I think it could be bettered with indie input". Sure, you can be making the point just for the hell of it or because you're bored, but it'd be nice to step back and realise that you're basically inviting the opportunity for anyone who wants to come into said faction of time, love and effort and do whatever they like. You'd have to agree that's a little insensitive, no?

Well, if you have looked at the Tau's recently, especially 23 and 37, most of the times they are filled up.Now imagine another 20-some Colonial Remnant indies running around, each of them engaging whatever they can find.It would turn into New York.

In space, nobody knows I'm a panda

OHhh , trust me , we get blamed even for IMG indies in Tau 23. Anyway , since we are not so picky at the recruitment , why don't you actually try to join the =CR= ? We would be glad to have people from which we might pick up something new .

Directed at Atreides, too.

In such case, what makes you better than, say, the LN? Just because it is a vanilla faction means it should suffer loling indies?
I have to say, it seems rather elitist to think that you deserve full power over something, that you have brought into the community with the Faction and ID, now affecting everyone.
If anything, you should have LESS power than factions like the LN, who are a already Canon faction.

But I won't go into that.

The simple fact is, you have the power to change the story of Discovery, at least in the Taus and sorrounds, and excuse my blatant 'More powah to the indies!'... but I don't beleive that power should be held by the faction alone, without a majority of the communities approval.

Now replying to Beagle so I don't Double post again... ><

It's nice you decided to take my words out of context, and very constructive, I must say.
Yes, I beleive the RP can be bettered by Indy involvement.
Yes, I beleive that in the future I would like to be a part of that.
As for the faction comments, If I was to join the =CR=, I would be under someone's direct command, yes? If I was to join the LN, I would be under someone's direct control, yes?
At the moment, if someone joins Ageira, they are under my direct control.
Independants in both factions are not under faction control at all, apart from the 'in RP consequences'.

Therefore, being an independant gives you a mite more freedom to do what you wish, but hell, I explained this before and obviously you didn't bother to read and/or understand.
