I will tell you why

Because when I play this game I don't want to spend 3 hours trading so I can play 2 hours on my other chars.

3 hours of trading, what you do with your other chars then? lol if you need so much credits for them.
with 3mil i can go for days if not week. on my normal chars

Easier? That transport will have large hold but agility of brick. Piloting it trough lanes and hundreds of lolpirates will be real pain but will be really profitable. Yeah that would be sort of caps. Battleships are big and well armed but few bombers can easily take it down. All big caps is used to RP not to fight alone. Same with "super transports" . They will be use as i.e.corporations representatives ships. If it was in game i would suggest to dont do powertrading/mining in that ships.

Did you see BS with 5000? And you re right . I had in mind smaller versions of barge with more normall agility and turning on cruise time.

Which is a shame.


Trading right now it terrible (gee thanks Xoria), the ships are pretty bad too, it's a joke really. Then again, if it wasn't, we'd have lolcaps everywhere.

Although lolcaps were slightly more fun/funny.

I like the idea of super transporters, but they should be limited to members of estrablished trading factions, and handed out by admin order only. The result of an open market on them would be too many people with too much money, and no more independant traders.

It's something to think about for sure.

I would rather give caps only to official factions than super cashcows. Transports cant be weapon of mass destruction like caps without bombers near.

Trading doesn't suck. For instance there's a 34M/hour run between Liberty and Rheinland which is point-to-point. The problem is not getting caught.

We don't need bigger, more armored transports, unless we allow cruiser piracy.

Edit: I think the current 5K transports are oversized now (not in terms of cargo space, but size as such).
