Thank you everyone for your replies it has been most helpful, seeing as how most of my ingame experience with nomads has been quite limited I did'nt want to react too out of character. Again thank you everyone for your replies.
I have experienced quite a few Sprits in Omicron Alpha. I believe today there were 3 Spirit ships. I have never considered them an Ally. Just a Holy creature that is to be respected. We have cardamine and if they want it they, in my opinion, should get it. We have got plenty to go around. Oh, I was reading the part about them using it for genetic alterations, or even using it for spawning offspring. Very intriguing, I am now convinced to read Nomad Lore. (thanks to whoever mentioned it.)
Keep in mind as well that just because you as the player knows something, your CHARACTER may not know it. For example, even though it's not really the case, all the BHG|Core knows is that the Outcasts seem to worship the Nomads as religious figures, which is why they are on our better dead than anything else at all list.

Unless they grew it themselves; if they stole it, got it second hand or whatever, it's still grown on Malta.
As far as I am aware Malta is the only place in Sirius that the grass Cardamine is made from grows at. So planet Malta itself is the source of all Cardi. Correct me if I am wrong, but that is how it was in the single player game, and this mod continues from that.

Correct.
The GC have a Planet in their Guard system that grows Cardi, but it's considered non-Canon and being removing in the next version, due to the fact it makes no sense.
Also, a Planet in Omicron-80, has certain parts of land that can grow Cardi, if it's the right conditions.
