Blood Dragons are to few to openly attack the KNF. They would be crushed easily. And a few separatists within the dragons would even faster.
For the GC part. I'm not completely sure about them, but I think their numbers aren't much higher. Furthermore they aren't a military force like the dragons.
In short: there is a reason there hasn't been an open assault yet. They know they wouldn't win it.

You do realizes causes don't need to be realistic, right? The point is that they could survive. Whether or not the course of action is truely viable is irrelevant since revolutionary/seperatist factions can never win, or even gain any ground. (Something I'm working to change).
Well, if you do want to help blood dragons or golden c. you should join them.
I am not criticizing anyone but the fact is that all the words on the forum won't do you no good unless official faction acts upon it.
They are the one that can start changing things.
You realize I lead the [HF], right? Not that it's even relevant. Thing is, wanting to be a seperatist state rather than overthrowing the emperor and his entire navy is a pretty vast difference, one warranting its own seperate faction.

This is true.
And like Akura said, though he didn't mean it this way, a Blood Dragon who isn't devoted, isn't a Blood Dragon, right?
Right.
That's exactly why they'd be part of this Separatist group, because they don't agree with the BD's anymore.
And...as far as former GC's not taking part in the Separatist movement because of lack of Cardamine, who's to say they wouldn't foster new Cardamine connections?
So basically it would be a part of a minority group, that wants to separate and form an rebellion and start an lawful entity that would be open for public contact?
How wouldn't KNF crush that within seconds?
@ Nighthawk: I have no power or authority of "NO U CAN'T HAZ", I just have my opinion that I won't really change to soothe someone's needs. Because like it or not, unless he has a strong lobby force with moderators he can hardly achieve actual bases or owning of the systems.
He can create a faction, roleplay it and see where it goes from that, but hey, telling him he'll surely succeed isn't cool too.
All ideas live or die on their own merits.
I am not against the idea of people holding seperatist views.
But at this early stage, that is all they are - just views.
As Dragon Leader - I actively encourage a certain diversity of opinion.
Some are pro or anti GC
Others are pro or anti Order.
Dragons can be less or more tolerant of Gaijin.
Dragons can be less or more sexist.
The Dragons are a radical organisation - what is more radical than the idea of an autonomous state?
The concept of separatism - for Dragons at least, would still hold the Taishogun at the seat of its power, and thus maintain respect for His authority, and thus not be killed for it.
There are two factors I see influencing the seperatist cause:
1) The operation of the Dragon Shogunate as a de-facto government. It has operated in this manner for centuries, in some ways reminiscent to the pre-communist government of China. The government of Chiang Kai-shek fled to Taiwan, and subsequently became its own state (not recognised by China of course).
If such a fledgling state gained the support of groups like the GMG, and other Houses - then Kusari risks open war with its other neighbours if it took direct action against them.
2) Time. The radical groups in Kusari have been on the outside of Kusari society for centuries. Whilst many of their members are still drawn from disillusioned Kusari citizens - there is a core of people who have for generations been apart from Kusari society. I anticipate it these outsiders who would consider the notion of a separate state - because that is EXACTLY what they have been living for generations.
In conclusion, whilst I disagree with the phrase "small but growing" - I believe that there is a place for diversity of opinion within the Kusari radicals - including separatists. To include such strains of thought adds flavour to Kusari RP beyond the one-dimensional 'Honour or Death!' that is so often played out.
It is the Will of the Taishogun, that all speak before him with honesty and passion - including those who believe a separate state is the destiny of the Shogunate.
I think a lot of people here have been misunderstanding Blackstarr's idea.
First off; This separatist movement in no way means they are defecting from the GC/BD. They are GC/BD pilots that have decided to try to annex certain systems from the Kusari government and create a separate sovereign state. It'd be difficult, but not as difficult as the current plan to eliminate the current government..
Those who say that the GC joining this would lose their connection to Cardi.. Sorry for the bluntness; But what the heck are you thinking?
That because they decide to go from trying to take down the government, to trying to annex several systems from the government, that the GC and OC will cut off their supply? Why would they? This group would still be closely related to the BD/GC, still enemies of everyone the BD/GC are enemies of, and still maintaining relations with the OC for supplies.
The goals are slightly different, but in the grand scheme of things, still the same. Slowly annexing systems from the Kusari government's control is a logical step towards their ultimate goal of replacing that government in full. As such, this group would be doing the BD/GC a favor and helping to further their goals.
This would also mean, that if they are recognized as a separate sovereign state, Kusari can't simply attack them without repercussions by other houses that recognize this group. It'd be seen as a state of war. See Taiwan for an example. Taiwan, by gaining the recognition as a separate state by several key world nations, effectively stopped China's attempts to take them over.
I think any discussion on 'GC/BD/OC will cut them off' should be left to the GC/BD/OC players. This group can do its RP along those lines and conduct diplomacy as they planned, and through that we can decide whether or not such a step is necessary. But people coming in here and saying the 'GC WILL do this.' or the 'BD WILL do that.' is speaking for factions which you are not in control of. What we do is our decision to make.
I will point out that if the GC/BD separatists were to build a station and announce where it is publicly, the KNF would probably come along and gobble it up.
I mean, why wouldn't they?
They want to obliterate the GC/BD folks already, why not do it when they are on the silver platter?
