Three.

Prove me wrong.

Anything I say is not intended as offensive, and to try and deliberately misinterpret it as such would be an attempt at trolling via misrepresentation.

It's not a conspiracy, it's localised bias. They're not intelligent enough to form a conspiracy.

Proving you wrong means showing you any I have.
Which is no fun at all.
I'd much rather you showed me.

Players and faction leaders don't always make the right decision. SRPs required approval by a team of admins, white box permissions require approval by only one faction leader. Sure, it may make it easier to get the ships and loadouts you want that aren't your faction's usual, but that isn't always a good thing. In fact, in most cases it isn't a good thing. I remember back when we didn't have any ship or loadout restrictions period. Things got out of control.

All the rules, and guidelines, and SRP processes we have, were made not because the admins feel like restricting your play, or because it sounded cool. They were made because circumstances demanded they be made. Remove those restrictions and things will slide back to the way they were in the past, and we'll be dealing with the same problems we did then. Factions have the ability to grant tech to certain people within reasonable bounds. Things that are highly abnormal require a team of admins to pass permission. This is the best way to have it work currently. You probably don't realize how many SRP requests are sent in.. It's ridiculous, and many people do not need those SRPs, or they are SRPs just to get them a better pvp setup.

Let the admins get around to fixing the SRP system. Putting control of all tech permissions into the hands of faction leaders isn't a smart decision. I'm a faction leader myself, and still think it's a bad idea.

^ This.

We already have cases where white cell tech is granted to those that, in all honesty shouldn't have got it. There is a ton of bias and favoritism with FR6, if you bother to look.

On a selfish note, I don't want to have to deal with even more requests either.

Oh and what, the admin team does? I always knew they were demi-gods.

Voted 'Yes, other'. Putting it in the hands of faction leaders isn't the answer. Maybe go back to the way it was where you had to have an explanation posted.

I voted "I think Red Cells are needed"

Why?

Because lets put this realistically, as much as I think that Official Factions should have the final say in who uses their technology, I think the red cells should stay because lets say... for example

Somebody wants to use a Guardian VHF with all Vengeances on it and is not a part of the Liberty Navy, so they chalk it up to the [LN] faction leadership to decide?

Now, I think the faction leadership of the [LN] does a really outstanding job in acting appropriately despite all the crap directed at them, however, in a situation where they had to decide on each and every case, whoever was appointed to the position of deciding who gets approved and who doesn't would eventually develop the attitude of:

"Meh, lets just get this done" and start applying generic Yes/No responses to all cases without thoroughly reviewing them, not because of bias or anything like that, but because they've already got enough to worry about as it is without spending their time combing through things like that.

This would lead to more people still being pissy and whiney at the system and wouldn't fix anything, to put it bluntly.

Red Cell method should stay, lets not force faction leaderships into the uncomfortable position of taking even more crap for doing what they're supposed to do.

That's my two cents.

I would prefer that no SRP need to be asked.
I would prefer that admins, nor faction leaders, nor any other person can decide what I have on my ship.

I think the validity of tech mixtures can be storied out.

All these systems have come about because people want to blame, blackmail and be generally dicks to each other, instead of allowing personal responsibilty to rule.

The more rules there are, the less personal responsibilty. The more rules, the less freedom. You know that God himself only gave humanity 10 rules? It was Mankind that added more.

Of course, all the above is in an ideal world, and not the real abusive, blackmailing, rule lawyering, only logical, and only "My way" world that we live in.

Hence my post means absolutely nothing.

My answer of three was correct.

I will leave it to you to answer, via a Gentlemen's agreement, whether or not I was right.

It is, in fact, incorrect. Unless we're going to work on technicalities.
Alas, I don't intend on presenting proof.
