No no, I love smuggling, I do, but... oh nevermind. Yes we are smugglers; as I'm led to believe by the hierarchy, the first rank is split into henchmen and smugglers; one for fighting and guarding the smugglers, the other to... smuggle. I just figured because of that, we could pirate traders, but I'm not exactly sure... I haven't exactly tried to yet.

CST is Central Standard Time for the USA. It is one hour behind EST, or Eastern Standard Time.
12 pm CST would be 5pm GMT.

Technically, only a couple of states in the US are on standard time right now. The correct time should be phrased as CDT (Central Daylight Time) - a long used idea from Benjamin Franklin. I am assuming that the original poster was not in a state that ignores CDT, and just got one initial wrong. If he is in one, then even we in the US probably won't be on time for his event as most of us will assume he means Daylight Time even though he said Standard Time.

The original poster needs to confirm whether he in fact means CST or CDT, as there is an hour's difference between them.

If he meant to say 12 pm CDT, then 6pm GMT is the correct translation for our cousins across the pond.

@Joe012: I apologise that your post has degenerated into a bunch of spamming about timezones.

Getting back to topic.... I think your idea has merit, and it's a shame people can't cut you a break. Someone suggested diplomats, and I think that would work, remembering "diplomat" has a wide range of meaning. In this case it could be an assortment of academics, hippies and other do-gooders on their way to plead with the Shogunate for peace. But it's a long, treacherous journey from Cambridge to Kusari.... and the naive fools have no idea what lurks in wait....~evil laugh~

As Onca says, Diplomats could work very well, no need to specify their nationality or actual mission for taking this trip.

BUT, I have to ask WHEN exactly is it going to take place finally? The fact that you forgot about DST is fine by me, I don't know what that means anyhow. If someone could clarify, I might participate with my Kusarian Trader IF I can manage to come up with the credits and get the timing.

I'll answer the best I can as far as the time issue, CST means Central Standard Time in the US. Some one posted previously that it would be GMT -5, sorry about the confusion. This is the first time Ive tried to set up an event, so hang in there :D and i'll do my best to iron out the creases here.:cool:

OK, I've given this some more thought, below is a RP storyline for this event.

Cambridge Research Station is well known for its research on pharmaceuticals. Recently, several key scientist have made a breakthrough in medicine that uses sythetic Marijuana. Needless to say, that there is a large contriversy brewing in Bretonian space. A large group of scientist has decided to move its efforts elsewhere. These scientist, who consist of a large part of the project, have been given diplomatic immunity by Honshu's governor, a well known supporter of Marijuana legalization. Up to this point, Neither the Bretionian or Kusari Governments have announced an offical Standpoint on the situation.

The Lead Scient of the project, Dr. Tommy Chong (A kusari Native) has publicly expressed his disgust with the Bretonian Government, who which has in turn ruined him in the public eye of Bretonia. Chong's veiws on the legalization of marijuana, and its Medicinal purposes are highly controvercial. After the news of his deal with the Kusari Govenor, there are rumors that Chong will be charged with treason. He has booked passage on the Mercenary Frigate, Ciro, and has extended the offer to the remainder of his research team to come with him. How many will be there? He does not know.... The Ciro is due to arrive in 1 week. Dr. Chong has gone into hiding, and will meet with the Ciro at the set date and place. Rumors are that thousands of Dr.Chongs reasearchers and supporters will come with him in a Mass defection from Cambridge and Bretonia.

That is all that is known at this point. The Trade Ship Renius, has agreed to hold the contract. The VIP refugee's will be delivered at all cost. Dr.Tommy chong will be aboard the Renius, and his survival it the utmost importance. The Ciro has sent out the call to all of his Mercenary brothers, to protect him at all cost. Renius calls all traders as well.

Payments are rumored to be at 1 million starting out. Will the Bretonian's interfere? Or the KNF? What of the pirates along the route? The story will be told soon.
