What he said... learn to dodge, bind your strafe keys... even better, don't pick a fight with a bomber if you know he's to good for u? a skilled fighter has a 80% possibility to win a dogfight against a bomber.
are bombers overpowered? no, the people flying them are.

is it possible to have different hull types on ships so that if a SNAC hits a SHF or smaller, it would do as much damage as a mini-razor?
I'm not suggesting this really, but im curious if thats even possible
edit: wow this was just a tidit. I was focusing less than 10% on this!
for news:
I was thinking, since so many newbies don't bother appreciating rules/ player faction rules, wouldn't it be good to have an announcement or a sticky on local station news with a post with player faction house rules?
like Kishiro tech expo (and below)
Important information about flying in bretonia (or something phrased better )
obviously this would appear on lawful bases in bretonia
for mollys you can have a post about how they RP in dublin, etc.
I know your at least moderatley new so ill explain it to you because these 'people' will keep hammering you untill you see at their point of view. They dont want the SNAC changed at ALL and are extremely against it because they are A: Afraid of change, B: Dont want to make attacking caps 'harder' and C: Dont want to have to actually have FIGHTER escorts to combat other fighters that attack their bomber wing.

Quote:ye ye, Let's Nerf Bombers even more, so those loltards who are stupid enough to joust Bombers live long enough to maybe shoot the Bomber down with a bit of luck. Such a Wonderful Idea, isn't it? How about, we add different Hull Types so if a SHF or Smaller gets hit by a Snac, nothing happens? After all, SN is meant to be an Anti-Cap Weapon, not something to shoot Fighters down with.

Excuse me, but if you are jousting a bomber with your shields down, you deserve to be shot for your stupidity.
Its almost like arguging against Dab...people hear you say it, and they go nuts. While these are good ideas, they will be shot down inevitabley by the ... 'majority'
don't worry, thats normal. Snac and bombers are often subjects to avoid at all cost. I think we mostly agree that they are ''okay'' but used to be more efficient.
About your second idea , well you know if you take some faction's docking right and RP law, then it could run a bit more smoothly when interacting and telling Y player not to dock on X station with Z ID/ship. Unfortunately, reading things is not the most played or hyped aspect of this game even if its worth it more then it looks like.

The irony is that we aren't the ones who need to convince anyone of anything as the SNAC is what it currently is. It's you guys who are trying to do the convincing and it hasn't worked. It's a 280 m/s projectile.....if you are getting hit by it while in a Fighter then I suggest practicing at dodging instead of staying still.

the problem with the rules and RP is that the "veteran" players usually are to <strike>lazy</strike> tired to explain it all to the new guys and they rather toss the sanction hammer in. imo your idea would only work of new players were obligated to register on the forums before, for example, they could download the mod. but it surely is a topic open to discuss and to brainstorm on since it is getting rather tiring of having your RP "ruined" because of new people who don't know the discovery ways.
Well read up on all infocards, news and rumours concerning GMG and you'll have a summary of GMG|. The only things we haven't followed along with is the ID allowance of openly commiting unlawful actions against Samura and destroying RM lawfuls entering Sigmas (well we'll still target Kruger). We feel we are currently still just back scene funders for BD to campaing against Samura and have no reason to come out in the open at this moment. Also we as a faction were engaged diplomacy with Rheinland and shook hands with the Kanzler in a new treaty that reopens the borders (note this hasn't made it into cannon yet). I am not a jealous horder of the GMG ID and will not oppose a GMG group who wishes to perform the above actions, no FR5's or anything like that. Indeed despite GMG's long history of being a close knit unfractured group I wouldn't be too surprised if there was the beginning of dissent within the ranks when we shook hands with Rheinland and due to GMG's inexperience with dissent we wouldn't hammer out a quick set of RP that results in an FR5 we'd try to keep to an RP of returning the dissenting voices back into the close knit group where we feel they belong etc..
A fair number of the official factions based their factions RP on the NPC RP. With new rules this is now a necessity in order to remain official so the others have had to make adjustments. So in the end, if all is proper, you should be able to go in-game, read the stuff and have a very good understanding of what the official player faction is all about.

I'm getting the feeling you didn't understand my post. This idea is meant to combat those who didn't register on the forums in the first place.
perhaps i don't get what you are saying.
@ProwlerPC
Don't you think an OOC explanation of how to RP in a certain zone or for a certain faction make things a lot easier? and for law enforcement, especially with trade embargos... a lot of people don't really know about them.
@ everyone
think of it like this: somebody breaks an RP-rule. I'm too lazy to explain them. Therefore i tell them to dock on the nearest station and read up on one of the 'news posts' that has all the information for him.
