=INCOMING TRANSMISSION=
=SRC:FREEPORT 9, OMICRON THETA=
=SRCID:Ezio.Francesca[TBH]=

Buon giorno, signore.
RIght now i am sincerely enjoying the most wonderful drink aboard your station.
Thank you, and your bartender.
However, that is not the point of this transmission.
I would like to point out to you, and the |Sails, and all other Corsairs and Zoners, that, under Corsair law, section 2, subsections 10, 11, and 12,
Quote:
10) Transport of Food Rations, Luxury Food, Synth Paste, Fertilizers and Pharmaceuticals to Corsair bases (especially Planet Crete) by allied, friendly or neutral vessels is to be encouraged.
Corsairs must not pirate transports bringing these goods to Corsair bases. (kos/hostiles should be destroyed)
11) Transport of Alien Artefacts throughout Sirius space is to be encouraged. Corsairs must not pirate allied, friendly or neutral vessels carrying a majority cargo of Alien Artefacts. (kos/hostiles should be destroyed)
12) Transport of useful materials to Corsair bases is to be encouraged. Piracy or taxation of these goods should be reasonable and non-prohibitive if these materials are being carried to Corsair bases.
"Useful materials" includes raw metals, fuel, ship components, weapons or weapon components etc. (kos/hostiles should be destroyed)
As so far, i have not seen the Council issue a statement of hostility towards Zoners, i believe you are still classified as neutral under Corsair Law, as long as you state neutral or friendly intent towards the Corsair Empire.

Hell, your kind are even listed as an exception in the last section.
Translation: Fill up those Whales and send 'em on over to Crete, and this whole situation might just go away, with you also possibly gaining a valuable ally against those who seek to harm you.
Plus, we might just pay ya.
Tell ye what, i have to go sleep massive quantities of alcohol off, but i'll be up in six hours from now.
I would gladly escort any willing traders through Gamma. Got it?
Cuse if you don't, I would also gladly escort Corsair strike teams through the halls of Freeport 9. Got it?
The point is, both sides have ill-will, and if we are going to change that, both sides have to give.
I personally want to see the Corsair Empire spread throughout Omicron Theta and beyond, and i am sure you want to see the Zoners spread as far as possible too.
Adios,
Brother Ezio Ricardo Angela Della Francesca, The Only Intergalactic Lawyer on Crete.

Dear Ezio Francesca,
Freeport 9 is open to all for trade and barter. We do not, however, make deliveries to other factions as that would go against our position of neutrality. You are welcome to visit the Nine and purchase whatever food rations you would like from a variety of vendors.

Shh!! What are you trying to do, eh? This is a public channel, not a Corsair channel.

SO if the sairs have thrown your offer back at you and are still hostile, does that mean we can use your bases to stage attacks on them?

I'd be VERY careful with the answer to that one, gents.

This isn't an offer. It's an Explanation of Benefits. You respect our ways or you find another Freeport.
And yes, if we are overwhealmed by an armada, we will do what we need to survive. It's not exactly a world class puzzle.

Having said that, the Corsairs haven't exactly announced hostilities against the Nine ever since the fiasco a few weeks back. As far as we know, there are none.

Well, I should admit, majority of our pilots would use Etna base to stage any attacks into Omicron Eta, therefore I doubt neccesarity of this condition.
For staging attacks to the Omega-41, we have Leon, for Sigma-17 - Atka. So I doubt there should be a trouble.

If I catch a Corsair using Atka as a springboard, I will be very cross.

And perhaps over-eager with my sidearm.

Attacks in Sigmas are rare anyway, Elder Montoya, so don't worry, you won't see that. Yanagi is better place for that, though.. I should admit.
"Hawaii" is another choice, but we're risking with our docking rights there, which are quite important for business.

To the Seniors of Freeport 9:

I realize that I'm probably not your favorite person in the world right now. I can accept that.

I do want you folks to realize that anything untoward that may have happened between members of my organization and you all isn't personal in the least. It's simply part of something we felt that we had to do.

Having said that, I quite understand if you feel that you don't ever want to see us again. You will end up seeing us at some point, but as I said, I understand if you feel that you don't. For our part, we will simply do what you ask, and not utilize your facility for ... well, much of anything for a while. When things have settled down a bit, let us know, and we'll be glad to sit down for a drink or two with you.

Just know this - your policy announcement that you made here... that's all we ever wanted. We've gotten it - and as long as you folks enforce it, we're happier than a Gaian hugging a tree.

---End transmission---
