I was able to use my Albatross to the utmost precision, i could take out most battleships (with luck ofcourse) except for the OC Dread with a mk7 or higher armour.
Battleships have longer range, use it, dont go fighting an inch away from eachother. Take your distance, make sure you mount the right guns on the right places and you will be invulnarable:)
It really is the same as any other ships, its as good as its pilot
"War. War never changes. Since the dawn of human kind, when our ancestors first discovered the killing power of rock and bone, blood has been spilled in the name of everything, from God to justice to simple, psychotic rage."
You all are correct. Of course a BC could take out a BS, but thats when the person flying it comes into the equation.
Thats what i like about Discovery, theres no one class of ship that cant be counted by something else.
Going up against an Osiris is quite different from the other bigger BSs because of its size and front profile makes it VERY hard to hit if the person flying it noes what hes doing.
Which I will tell you NOBODY does, 'cept Mark here and a couple of others...I've had a fight were I killed THREE-count, THREE-Osiris-class ships in Fantasia, one-on-three, at the same time, and made it back with half my hull. I'm a pretty good BS pilot, but I ain't that good...
Disagree on the Battlecruiser-vs.-BS issue. It should take two or more to destroy a battleship, never one. Their armor was supposed to be thin for their size, they were for hunting Cruisers and Escort.

skill or not - you will not defeat a battleship in a battlecruiser one on one at the moment, the battleship has a range advantage and its cannons are faster with 1600 speed. it also has more guns, more regen, more hull.
i might be very mistaken, but if someone wants to prove me wrong, i m up for taking the persephone against a BC and we ll see how it goes - i don t think i ll miss many shots on a battlecruiser. - but i d be up for it, i d love some practice in turret fights.
that Osiris's pilot it's me..i am a crazy strafer...you may be can hit other ppl...but not me with that distance....(no problem at killing a Rheinland Battleship or more in my Osiris..what do you expect to battlecruiser?)
and..i killed a Hugo Battleship in my Bounty Hunter Battlecruiser..so..don't complain about it..it's possible..it just your weapon setup not good enough..
i think this explain so many things..(yea..you can't even take down my shield down to 70%)
and BTW..you noob (Tic)...cerberus spamming at last version.(you cerberus spamming in your BC and GB..凸-_-凸)..now you use almost full Solairs turret to against battleship..is not the balance problem...is your skill problem..
except that the last post was waay below the belt, whats wrong with a full solaris loadout? - i got one on my BHG, too. it doesn t feel like i am exploiting anything *confused*. solaris turrets are clear understatement. allmost invisible turret size, no bombastic effects and your shots are clear yellow beams - its purely stylish. compared to other cruiser guns, they are pretty much identical in dps.
OK before this gets to far off topic, The fact is without a doubt a Battle Cruiser should fly, strafe, and even accellerate faster than a 3 times heavier Battleship.
Battlecruiser are supposed to have the same agility as Battleships. They should be faster only.
Their task normally is to outgun smaller cruisers and destroyer. So the only thing they could need is a thruster.
Thats for the tactical aspect.
Now to the skills. Always i see posted agility stats. These stats have a lesser difference than the skills of the pilots.
Also it seems some of you just want to compensate, that you cannot fly as many battleships as you want, because of the license. And now you want the BC as a "loophole" Battleship.

solaris..it's not a anti-cap gun..nothing wrong with it but use in a wrong place....
