It's what I try to do.
I'm sorry. They just had been too much. Also my apologies for the chatter before I docked, I was just utterly pissed that day by what happened.
Things are cleared for now, so I had been told.
Kudos btw for that bit of RP out there, that was a rather neat surprise to encounter in Tau 23. (though, why this just happens with Outcast characters?)
To the topic:
The Taus are a bad place to be. People change slowly if at all. New players, both miners and Outcasts, don't take it lightly. All is filled with greed and anger. Also what Kanga said (which is prolly the best description for the Taus).
Vee. I am part of the hot chicks, but let me tell you... we all already turned to the organized yet stoned bullies. They're way nicer as the obnoxious foreigner kids.
' Wrote:The Taus are like a big playground, the CR are that massive group of kids that're all from the same foreign nation that speak in a different language and point as you wander by, and try to beat you up because you look funny. The Outcasts are the organised bullies with the bad attitude that smoke dope behind the toilets, 'n' really don't care about anything but your lunch money or your hot girlfriend.
The IMG are that -group- of nerds who got their favourite hangout taken over by the obnoxious group of foreign kids, and then found out that they could still hang around - if they did homework for all the obnoxious foreigners.
Then you have all the independent miners, these guys are the ones that wander around alone, or with a single friend in the playground. The stoned bullies like to pick on these guys more than the organised nerds (because the nerds learned to carry pepper-spray and the foreigners will protect their new 'assets'). They bitch and whine about taking crap, yet they never stand up to the bullies because they're incapable of it - except when they call their tank of a brother to beat the stoners senseless.
This is Tau-23, it's an immature, sick, disturbed place, but it's an ecosystem that cannot be disturbed.
I'm so sorry to find this adduptation such a perfect description...

Made a couple amendments to my comparison, but it's all pretty much the same.
That the Taus are bad, isn't true. Let me ask ya all this, if it is so bad why do you keep comming there? If its bad and filled with anger you would just move out to another place, yes?
The OCC hate is idiotic. We are all friends here, some more than others, but we are all part of this. If you are able to see both sides of the coin you can make better judgements than if you only see one.
Im at IMG| and =CR=, not so much active, and i see things that go to absurd. But if i go to that party, i dance like the rest, i RP, i gank, i'm ganked, i get frustrated, i get happy, i make credits, i loose credits.
So, the Taus isn't a playground, the Taus is a dance party where everyone is invited but you only go there if you want to dance.

Given I myself as others who agrea are or -were- within both "sides".
I only play in the Taus as an indie pirate, when I do go up there now. I'm more impartial, though I was once in the 101st.
To the topic: After observing some factions around here, official or not, I have noticed that some of them have kind of ... pride, if you will. That said, in most cases it is rather excessive causing enormous amounts of hatred, flame and general unhappiness in all involved factions. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with a bit of pride, but that is as long as it does good, meaning aiming high without actual lust for power and being always the winner.
Given that, if I was a faction leader and if I wanted said faction to have some influence and stability I'd damn make sure that most of the people in it are dedicated for (not obsessed with) its cause. And that might be a reason to kick someone out for playing for the opposing side.
But then again, I have no idea about thoughts of CR/IMG/Outcast leaders and I might have been playing too much of EVE.
Concerning Tau 23 situation, as long as both sides stay in that system the problem cannot be solved and the only solution I can see is creating a new system between 23 and 44 with holes to 31 and 37, moving Cali there and heavily reinforcing defenses in both Tau 23 and the new Tau.
Note: I'm sleepy and I take no responsibility for what I've just wrote or for any reactions to it.
Edit: And yes, this hate Chenzo spoke of. All you need for solving this are strong leaders with sense of fair play and stuff. Internal OORP regulations would help too.
Well.. After reading this, i need to put my two cents here.
I was just in my Mandalorian in T23, like 30 minutes ago, and where a battle started 5 v 3 (4 Sabres, 1 LF vs 1 GB, 2 Nyxes) evolved to a 5 v 4 (another gb joined), which then we didn't had enough firepower to take out the GB's. We lost due to two indie oc's there for they went for the 1v1 instead of shooting the first gb.
In my run to freedom, i was shot at like hell.
Now, let's go back six/seven hours. I was in my CR, merrily fighting my way through a 3 v 6 (2 Nyxes and an Eagle?) versus 5 Sabres and a LF.
Got shot at pretty well and finally, my nanos ended and i went to T44.
Ye, i lost both and i shrugged it off, on any of the battles i fought for it's a bloody game.
I logged and went to have fun doing some other thing.
And believe me. I had a lot of T23 to be 'raging' or Q_Q.
Now one of the best moves i ever made when i was in CR was joining the 101st. For it made me see a lot things. Gave me a whole new view, and more respect for any of my enemies.
But many of you that think the hate and whatever comes from the higher ups in the factions, sorry to say but you are mistaken. I have yet to see the first sign of hate from Linkus, and Doc never did anything against CR ooc. iRP, he shot at us, but also talked and talked.
The hate is generated within T23. Within the indies.
Yeah, we all have a certain measure of pride for our factions, but that is general. All people try and have pride in the factions they are within.
But indies, take it to another level. Within the ones that calls for reinforcements and that later, no one can get a hand on it for it was blew out of proportion.
How many times i've seen someone calling for backup near Cali/Java, and the backup came in the form of Zephyr's/Dentes/Ranseurs or coming in a number that would probably be enough to start a little invasion, virtually throwing any balance out of the window and becoming a gank where people rage and Q_Q.
Well. We all rage. We all Q_Q. I got tired of that and just dodge/shoot till the end of it comes. Then i log into a new char.
It's a game, i'm permitted to have fun.
And Chenzo. Stop. You were always disrupting everything within CR, from naming your ship, to ignoring orders, etc.
You're a good guy, but in this one, i side with Link.
