Freeport XV: ORI meeting the TAZ, the OSI, and the Omicroners

[Valek]

"I see his faith is strong, as Yours is towards him", Valek answered to Mr. Holliday.


They shall hear the words of the Ori, Valek thought in that moment.

Then, one of the men started talking.

[Mannock]

Finally, the representatives had arrived. Mannock greetings to his friends quickly.

"Gentlemen, dear lady, come with me to Theta Room, ah, you also Valek. There will be more comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. By the way, Mr Gorok'll thank you not carry arms to the room. Doc I allowed to send to your ship a prototype for the Med Force One, at some rest we can talk about it. "

He opens the door of the room, throwing a quick glance to see that everything is perfect: tobacco, wine, water, liquor, snacks, coffee, tea, surveillance equipment, environmental control ... "Everything in order, please enter"

Valek followed the man called "Mannock" into a room with a big table.

They all entered the room and sat down, grabbing something to drink or to eat.

The men looked a little bemused when Valek grabbed his bag and walked around the big conference-table, putting a brief version of the Book Of Origin on the table in front of everybody, when the door opened and the OSI representative entered the room.


Valek poured some Water into his glass, while watching the unknown man passing him towards a seat.

After a little while, Valek stood up, grabbing his wand and his Book Of Origin.

"Gentlemen of the Temporary Autonomous Zoners, Omicron Supply Industries and Omicroners.
I am Ambassador Valek, representative of the Ori. "

"I came here to you as a Zoner friend, not an enemy.

I will begin with a little introduction.
First of all, as Mannock said: "Gentlemen, dear lady, ah, you also Valek." : Yes, I am human. Made of blood and flesh, just like You. You may have heard rumors about the Ori not being human at all. This is right, as these people were talking about our ascendants. They have found the way to enlightement a long time ago and now, in their infinite kindness, they are making the ascent possible to us."

Vallek opened the Book Of Origin:

"The overall Goal is to achieve Immortality by ascending to the spirit world and become once with the Universe as pure energy. Glorious are the Ori, who lead us to salvation, who did fight the evil that would doom us all to mortal sin. Did they defeat the old spirits and cast them out? And now, with the strength of our will, they do call upon us to prevail against the corruption of all unbelievers."

He closes the book and continues:

"When you have the honor to meet one of the ascendants, easy to recognize as they have [asc] in their transponder tag, you are talking with the Ori themselves.
As the Ori are made out of pure energy, and pure and endless power and wisdom, they are using their most close and loyal servants as organic shells, to be able to talk, or to fly their motherships. If the servants are destroyed, they can simply use another worshipper of theirs."

After a short break he continues:

"The glorious Ori have built up a fleet of believers, to spread their words into the Galaxy. I do also belong to this fleet. We are humans, and we worship the great Ori for their wisdom, kindness and power. You can see a short description on how to recognize an Ori in the book I gave You, gentlemen. Read through it please, and tell me if you have a question before i start."

With these words, Valek sat down to await the reactions of the distrustful men sitting in front of him.

Mannock stared at James, thanks for thinking of the hullabaloo in which you've gotten me. He shrugged.

"Valek, I had the misfortune of being the first Omicroner that you come across. After your unfortunate incident in Liberty, I ran into you on 31 January in FP9. The worst thing was the February 2 when you attack one of my ships in my house "

Mannock to a considerable effort not to attack the emissary

"I have my doubts whether these beings that have stunned you or you are well. ORI means trouble in Liberty, in Omicrons, with the Order and fighting near of Gran Canaria. Your luck is so far you have not killed any Zoner. I have learned over the years as Zoner is that everything can forgive but never forget"

Mannock stared at Valek

"If you can give me a reason to forgive, maybe you do not speak like that before your host, your wait for who knows more than you, and possibly that you let your masturbatory onanism and ye shall apologize for any problems that you have created from one end to another of Sirius. In Anyway, you do not have to convince me, you have to convince James, Doc and Gabriel, the future of the ORI is in their hands ... and remember the Zoners are a proud people, we will not attack anyone but poor for those who choose to be our enemies "

[Doc Holliday]

Doc had been listening to Varek for awhile, preaching his faith and quietly, he was getting annoyed. Out of respect, he kept quiet on it for a short time but with the book on the table, he got respectfully agitated,

"Yes, Emissary, my faith in Eris is strong but one thing I don't do is preach to all around me," he explained, "if people ask, I teach and let them choose. So, if you don't mind, this isn't a religious inquisition, this is a diplomatic meeting and that's the way I would like it to stay."

He then greeted those around him and shook hands. When he shook Ferguson's hand, he put on a soft smile, "When this meeting is completed, I'd like a word with you on another matter, one that is long overdue." He then sighed, obviously a bit bothered with something. With that, he took his seat, his hands on his lap, fingers interwove as he listened to Mannock speak. His half-empty glass of the red vodka still on the table in front of him. Next to that was his datapad which recorded the events.

He knew of the attack on the Omicroner ship but knew few details so for now, listening was learning. What he was really listening for was the issue of the ORI and Liberty as he didn't forget the request of support that was made of him before on that front.

"As you wish, Mr. Holliday." Valek responded.

"Yes, yes, the Navy issue... let me explain a bit.

"We are not hostile to the Order. So when an Order-vessel needs help from the ORI, we grant it. As the Nebuchadnezzar needed help at Betlehem, our Prior Mordren helped him. At that time I was the second Lieutenant on the Mordren.
As the Navy showed up, the Prior made a deal with the Navy and the Order that they escort him out of liberty on the shortest way, and both sides agreed. Also, Mordren alluded them to the NFZ of Betlehem, which is Zoner law. But the Navy then perfidiously assassinated the Order vessel, and began to shoot at our Prior."

He awaited the reactions from the men in front of him.

"This was the time the ascendants were called. To grant security for the Zoner law, and for our ORI family, more lethal firepower was needed than a gunboat or a Fearless.
So we came up with two of our Jinkusus, which were chosen as the representative motherships for the ORI, as we couldn't find anything more adequate than this little boat.
The Navy then showed up with their forces, and we asked for an excuse from the Navy for shooting in our NFZ and shooting at an ORI and shooting someone who was willed to do what the Navy said."

Valek paused.

"But after words have failed, weapons had to speak, and the two great ascendants RA" and Celestis have wiped them from space within the blink of an eye."

Valek paused again.

"After more talking with the Navy, they came to an agreement, and the holy ascendantds left Liberty, and went home to 74. Where they are said to have met a hearing impaired Omicron Juggernaut, who obviously wanted to ban the ORI from 74. The Ascendants miraculously made him hear again with their Mortars.

This obviously pissed the Omicroners off."

Valek looked at Ferguson who literally exploded in inner rage, with thick blue blood vessels on his deep read face.

"They destroyed the RA" and the Celestis with the help of the Order. The Order, because of who we made all this."

"Heretics", he thought and sighed.

"Let me get to the point. I am here to offer you that we adopt another line, helping lost souls with less weaponery. I think you call it the Zoner way.
The great ascendants showed up in a bursting flame on Sinai, where they have told me to write down and herald the following points to you.

We are willing to adjust our behaviour to the Zoners.
We are willing to stay out of House space.
We are willing to act friendly to every Zoner we meet.
We are willing to find a way to get neutral to the Omicroners again

We are not giving any ships back, nor will we pay reparations to the Navy or anyone else."


With these words, Valek sat down again and finished his water.

Everybody met him with disbelief.

Utterly disgusted, Gabriel had to speak up.

"First off. I'm about sick of hearing about no fire zones. You are actually willing to jeopardize the lives of all those on the station and your own crew for a vessel that knew the risk of being where he was? The Order captain was already being foolish trying to hide at our base and you just had to join him in his stupidity. Hell, Felicia here had to stop your vessels from firing on an Order Primary Fleet ship not long after that. I just can't begin to grasp what your motives are. First you put us all in danger trying to protect them and then you want war with the Order... I guess that is what you get dealing with religious fanatics."

Gabriel pauses for a moment.

"That said, it is promising that you are willing to change. However, I'm still not convinced that you will. Time and time again you have proven that you are not capable of it. Maybe if you weren't hiding behind those big ships you are flying you would learn some restraint. I'm gonna have to side with Ferguson on this one...

Give up command of the Jinkusus and we will see if we can all get along."
