Ex-ac-tly my point. Prysin,take your +1's elsewhere please. Why exactly are class 9's in wrecks then? For admin giggles? If you found some cash on the street,would you take it? Of course you would. Finders keepers. Make the wrecks drop only class 10's or something. What,the Gaian wreck in Tau-31 has Black Widows just so Xenos can travel there to shoot them out and save a whopping 200k on the guns? Please.

Heheh, yeah it's a tease those faction guns in the wrecks all about Sirius. I like em because they add a little content to the suspension of disbelief having wrecks with lootable stuff. Then there is the conflict of the server rules in regards to actually using the loot. Can't use em. Most Class 9's had to be invented and modded in and the Vanilla class 9s got adjusted. Essentially all the guns were theoretically balanced based on which faction fights what faction. The abuse is this: I happen to know where all the wrecks are and what each contain. If I want to "discover" the best possible combination of guns and my perfectly chosen ship it would take me only an hour to whip up my OP char that is coincidentally identical to all others doing the same thing.
Well obviously, this should have some limitations, e.g. only be able to use stuff lootable from wrecks in your own ZoI? Perhaps have very,VERY good reasons for having certain weapons on? Besides, should you see a Corsair Titan with Buckshots on it, I doubt the player would have much time to enjoy the guns due to the 900 BHG on his tail collecting a hefty bounty on his head, right?
Also, for a Gaian with Black Widows, how useful do you REALLY think this would be? It's not like the Widows are any more deadly than Angels in the right hands.

When I feel like wreck-hunting, and I come across a few faction Class 9s, I just see them as another 50,000 credits, more or less. Kinda gone beyond the point of thinking "Ooh, can I use these?"
Would be nice if we could use what we find on wrecks. But with wrecks being so numerous in the game, and with no real way to verify that your guns did indeed come from a wreck, we could have a server full of Kraken-users (or whatever other gun is the generally accepted "best gun").
I like to see variation in our ships. The rules are somewhat strict regarding tech-usage, but it keeps our server diverse.
No you cannot use those Black Widows on your Gaian.
And it's not a +1. In fact, one simple "no" is all you need to answer the question in the first post. And if you could read some rules, you'd get it yourself. But no (oh, the irony).
