Elite, for my ZX Spectrum and external tape deck for loading games. Yay for the old school!

lol, yes Privateer was very very similar to Freelancer, yet back then most of the WC community looked down upon it for some reason.

In some ways Priv 2 was a better game than FL, if you ignore the whole online aspect of Freelancer.

My first I guess would be either Privateer or Wing Commander Armada, not sure which came out first.

Hmm, where have I come? Why does it seem so familiar to this one?

My first "Space Trading" game was over the summer of '06...

I swapped rooms with my next door neighbor, and hooked up with his sister.

oyea.

Mine was a game called 'Battlecruiser Millenium' & it eventually became 'Universal Combat'

Anyway, it's very similar in the size & scope of space, but w/ a 200 page instruction book, I just couldn't hack it for very long...but it's what drove me to Fl'er, & eventually, here.

despite all it's faults, BCM & UC has the ability to switch to 1st person mode when you find & land on a planet.

Imagining one day being able to do that here makes me drool:crazy:

Privateer for me.
First space flight was this weird one for atari 2600 that came with a special control pad for shields and such. Anyone know what I am talking about?

Edit: Star Raiders, I found it!

I was trying to remember that one!
I was about 9 yrs old when that came out & the punch-pad that came w/ it was 3x bigger than a current cell phone lol

but at the time, it was 'state-of-the-art' coolness:cool:
