It is MORE then clear he is lying.The RP was just what a pirate would say.I'm sorta tired of these loooooooooong speaches I give only to find out that the trader is faaaar away while I type.Or NPC kill me (Wild) or something else.I've seen the Nova guys.There is no *insert random looooooong conversation* with them.It's a waste of time in both ways.You just pay them , or you die.And who-ever said *you will find it hard to get money from me*.No I wont , I have NO intention of waiting for a trader to argue with me on some stuff I don't realy care 'bout , lying is one of them in the case of Brainiac , I'll just kill you and be over with it.THAT is correct RP.What do you think a real pirate would say to a bordet ship?This is nonsence.I did everythink correctly , and he F1'ed TWICE. Don't try to say something against me just becouse I'm new here and it will make you look smart.This is the PIRATE princible wich is stated in the rules.I can shoot down your shield and demand money or cargo.You don't give them to me . I shoot you down.Aldo I never fire until the trader runs and I try to be polite as much as posible ( ask traders 'bout there encounters with [BU]Lyubomir , wich is also me) I have no intention of listening to a trader , who almost gives me a lecture , when he is supposed to be scared like a rabbit and be ready to pay the minute I say the price.

Please. Not all traders, even in RP, are "scared like a rabbit" Some see pirates all the time, and it's old-hat to them. And some (like myself) who've gotten away from a few failed attempts, will definately have a haughtier attitude than the ones that just got blowd up.

@ Tic I stand corrected. But, um, I'd like to hear what Mr. Hoodlum has to say about that. I've seen sanctions for just that sort of thing as being OORP. ??? Just trying to clear some confusion.

I like conversations with pirates. I do not run, however. First thing is always a "halt" and CD to tail. If the target does not stop and tries to engage cruise again, then he does not want to cooperate and he will perish.

Situation that happened once:


Freelancer moved across nebula in Hessians area.

"Halt!"

-silence-

CD. Shoot! Boom.

"Ah, you were empty, I would have let you go..."


Conversations are always nice, but have to make them stand by untill you can mnake a speech.

You technically can't kill the trader until you state your price.. might want to remember that.

trader may try to escape, pay, or even die, but F1 is only for noobs.
if he is like that report him or ignore and let him play alone if he doesn't want to PR with others.

this case has another side:
trader moved across space, a few neutral PCs on scanner:
- CD, shot, cruise down, shield down, shot hull down, bots/bats
- trader : "stop this" - no time to write more
- silence - shot, shot, shot , BOOM
- pirate : "why didn't you stop?"

The Trader refused your resonable demmand so you attack, you do not break RP to mention his level. He refused to pay so destroy him.

With regards to the F1 report it, please don't name and shame the player on a public thread. IMHO the F1 is the most serious violation but you havent handled this correctly Elation. Report the F1 and let the admins do their job. Next time if a trader refuses your resonable demmand make him burn.
