This would be a good thing....fewer system "moar" interaction and "moar" everithing

Edit: forgot "moar" lag

I had a conversation with some friends in the Coalition chat about this not long ago.

Honestly, among other things, one of the key reasons here seems to be that we're pushing the limits on what we can do with the Freelancer engine, so it's becoming unstable, as well as a bit boring. Please, don't compare to Freeworlds either. To do that we'd have to rebuild everything from scratch...

Not to mention that players seem to be more and more inclined to simply find a reason to kill you than do anything interesting or original.

Well do keep in mind that Freelancer Discovery is the longest and most populated server in history of freelancer...when all others fallen apart we continued to stay alive and that is interesting because i dont know why...we dont have the most complex nor the biggest mode but we have cap ships....lots of those

I think you'll find that the community got to the point where the population was self-sustaining. You had a good influx of capable players to compensate for the ones leaving. People enjoyed their time here, hassled their friends to join, which in turn did the same.

Now? Doesn't seem to be doing that.

Well there's quite a number of games out there to keep people preoccupied. I was somewhat stuck with my old Pentium III machine playing this up until the start of this year when I did a massive upgrade to high end gaming rig. But I still stick to this game over mostly everything else. I recall a mate coming over to laugh at me when he saw that my first game installed on this was Freelancer:D

But anyway its Summer in non-upside down part of the world and it usually is quiet this time of the year while people get outdoors to get their Vitamin D. (if that ever does happen). And I'm stuck indoors due to Aussie winter storms...

Things may pick up in a month or fall apart completely. We can't predict this. We've had numerous threads of how things aren't as they used to be. Population falling and then it suddenly rises. Changes to the server and mod turn people away or bring more in. Sometimes these changes may be for the best or worst. I obviously can't say I like half of things done but you can't please everyone. Best thing to do I guess is make the best of what we've got now before its gone.

I was refering strictly to the mode not the comunity and its obvious we have the best and the biggest of all other freelancer modes but we do also have some drawbacks that are side effects from the number of players

Yea, Corsairs - we now kinda dusty. Ill try to change that soon, as much as I can...
Also, this game is getting old. and people getting old. they growing up and leaving game. some people joins, but they barelly can be so good as most of old people. and new generation of players dont like to play that old game. they all playing other game with better engines and colours. but as far as I see - Disco still alive.

And new players just tend to leave rp aside and search for every alternative of "free pew" thats why conn is usualy crowded

Edit: In regards to the intended topic .86 camed like a blessing for cap pilots and made the game more challenging and much more fun....now you need a gang of bombers to take out a lone cruiser and fighters have a very low chance of doiing it....finaly all ship classes makes sence
