I am Liam Anders, Minister for Agriculture for the Colonial Republic and the one running the terraforming events on Yuma, or "war against these ancestors-damned plants" as some of our military call it. We have recently received an order for a Moderation unit that was mistakenly replaced with a Forum-compatible model. Perhaps we could give it to you for the return of our Lost Battlestar?
I personally have been in Sirius as long as the Colonials have, soon coming up for 18 standard years. However, I have only been on Yuma itself for 9 months, there may be some conversion problems due to the orbit of the planet. Until we get the docking ring fixed, atmospheric entry and exit is difficult so I have not been able to get off for more than a couple of days.
We've been using Sirius Mean Time on Yuma, which matches up with our old Crayter Clock system and the Greenwich Meridian before the Gemini and Orion left.
The specifications are given below:
FMU Mk 2k-XII Specifications Wrote:Shell reinforced with Samarium Chloride (SmCl)
Optimally efficient in the warmer part of the year.
Known to be used by:
Bretonian Police Authority
Colonial Republic
Vereinigte Widerstandsarmee
Independent Miners Guild
Unione Corse
Gaian Circle
Formerly used by the Sirius Coalition Revolutionary Army
Incompatible with and thus never used by the Liberty Rogues
This particular unit has been in service across Sirius for a fair while, and could be particularly suited to the Sirius-wide Neural Net, becoming a part of the running of the board. It previously served as a Supporter (mechanical versions of The Angel pilots we have in Pennsylvania) on a local node and is looking to expand its operations.
It appears to be one of the most active units since the last software updates (ahead of the model, NARC-0T, IC uses). It already scans most messages sent through the Neural Net, but does not have the authorisation codes to alter
corrupted data or malware.
Good evening everyone, my name is James Harper. This channel of the Neural Net interested me greatly in the beginning as I could not figure out really what this all means.
A strange group you are apart of I do admit, I cannot find many records of you anywhere. But you all seem to be running low and these FMU units, and I suppose it may be best if I helped out, never like to see people not doing so well. Unless they are pirates of course, always breaking the law and making my job so much harder. Oh well. You cant avoid them.
Anyways, as I expressed interest with this request, a strange entity contacted me. I don't know who it is, yet he.. or she.. Feels so familiar. Included with the entity's response came this list of answers which fits your request pretty well.. Ill forward that to you later on in this transmission. I can be reached over the private comm signature that I have built into this transmission, please contact me if I can do anything more. After all, all I have done is forwarded a strange message.. I didn't do anything myself like I hoped I could..
Anyways, I hope you are able to gain these units back.

1. How long have you been actively a part of the Sirian community, and have you taken any extended breaks from said community?

Note: I did reside with the LR- before, yet I never logged and was kicked for inactivity about three months ago. Pirating is not my thing.
4. What would your Player Overlord say his interest in having you become a Forum Moderator Unit stems from?
I may have not been someone who has been part of this community for the longest, yet through the two hundred and ninety days I have become part of the factions I have mentioned above, and has integrated myself into the community the best I could. I love the roleplay aspect of this server, merging this idea with the mechanics of Freelancer I think is a really great thing.
I may not be the most active person posting on the forums, but I watch everything. I see what is going on in game, as it is something that I like to read up on.
About three or four weeks ago, I eventually decided that I want to do some things to clean up the place. To do something myself to make this a better place for all the other members. There are many players that do not understand the rules fully just yet, and with most they wont until they are pointed out themselves what they have done. Moderation is a start to this. Keeping the forums clean of OORP within RP posts, just keeping the designated roleplay forums within the parameters my goal with Moderation. It may not be much, yet it is a start.
The reason of Discovery Freelancer to be in being is to help others have fun and enjoy themselves online. I wish to keep the server this way for everyone to the best of my ability. To give back to the community. I have had some pretty good times here, as some of the players are wonderful. Now its my turn to give back to them. A better place is better for everyone.

Entry two: I dearly am confused on the answer of entry four of this transmission. If this entity does mean me, I suppose it is asking me to take part in something. Helping others on a larger scale then my job in the Navy currently. Well I am interested in this. If I can get more information if he is indeed correct, and is deemed well enough to help regain these.. Units you have lost, I would like to help very much. Gives me something else to do in my life other then the same ol' routine every day. Well of course I wont quit the navy.. Anyways, let me know if anything happens.

I want to help to help the new players that come to start playing, and help ADMINs. Pretty much help with forum things. I got help when I started, so I want to give back what I got.
An icon blinked on Ronaldo's personal pad. "Madre mio, a message from these rumoured admins" he thought to himself.. "I should tell the Don about this. I believe we have what they need."
The commandante immidiatly started typing fiercely on his messenger pad. As fast as his fingers allowed him.
Buenos Diaz senores et Senoras,

Santos Bolevara was taking a brief moment off from work and browsing the neural net. A thousand years into the future, and the internet...sorry, Neural net still remained the best form of passtime for countless millions.
A strange broadcast caught his attention, apparently from the Lost Battlestar, a station he'd never heard of before. His curiosity piqued, he opened the link...and laughed.
"What kind of stupid crap is this...?" He said, chuckling to himself. "Player overlords...I don't have no god damn "overlord" muchos gracias."
All the same, he remained amused by this questionnaire that was undoubtedly filed by someone who had mixed Cardamine, Nox and some unmentionable drug and started on the weirdest psychedelic trip of his life.
"Let's humor this, shall we...The poor bastardi will regret this once he wakes up in the morning..."
Quote:1. How long have you been actively a part of the Sirian community, and have you taken any extended breaks from said community?
Well...uh, I was born a Corsair. Spent a couple of decades there, now part of The Order for a couple of years. Bet you didn't see that coming, did you?
2. What timezone is your Player Overlord located in (don't worry, your player overlord will understand this one even if you don't)
I don't have a goddamn player overlord...uh, plus five and a half sounds like a great answer though, doesn't it?
3. What factions have you been involved with during your time as part of the Sirian community. (LR are disqualified immediately)
Already told you...was a 'sair, now Order...Why do I get the feeling these questions aren't strictly for me?
4. What would your Player Overlord say his interest in having you become a Forum Moderator Unit stems from?
I don't have a godda- oh fine. I think this fictitious figure would tell you that you -want- me in that outfit of yours for my blitzing charm, good looks and the manliest beard this side of the Omicrons. I also have a few work related skills which are NONE OF YOUR GODDAMN BUSINESS.
Still chuckling, he sent the transmission, and then looked at a bottle of Sidewinder Fang that was sitting next to the Terminal, now empty.
"Going to regret this later, aren't I..." He said as he fell asleep.
I must say its strange.. as i have never heard of a lost battlestar? Can you inform me more about it? Also curious. you seek so called Moderator units? May i ask what it does pay? If i think its enough.. well i might consider a helping hand.. For the meantime i shall fill in this form you more or less constructed as an attachment.

But in short: GMT+1 (in summer its +2)
Quote:3. What factions have you been involved with during your time as part of the Sirian community. (LR are disqualified immediately)
I have played as a part of Samura, IC and TAZ. For now i only play TAZ. think 2 factions are the most you can do to give it a good rp.
Quote:4. What would your Player Overlord say his interest in having you become a Forum Moderator Unit stems from?
During many years i have been a forum admin in the past for several things. But its more to do with keeping it clean and good for all. Try to avoid flamings for instance on forums. As this only brings anger.
