this kind of Starflier abuse happens all the time. I have to admit, when someone does something in game that is twisting the rules to make him safe from retribution, get them to admit that they KNOW they are tryin to set people up, SS and report the incident as a whole. Admins have a lot of crap to deal with, this kind of person is better to catch and nip in the bud, whether with snaction or a talking to, and warning. Sometimes it will take a ban, even then its not always a guarantee. I remember a few of the people here starting off. They are even well repsected members and leaders even some of this community...But I remember them when they were that new pilot that just wanted to get his feet wet.

Its a tough line to walk. Rules are rules, sure. They are important. Personally, I probably woulda wasted him too, but in a slick way like place my ship in his path, bounce him off, they go pop so easy. No need to shoot them. Make him kill himself. Or my personal favorite is to shoot NEAR him and start talkin in system chat about swattin fleas. Keep shootin near but not hitting him. I've had one of those turn into a GREAT RP experience.

Looking into returning, maybe.

Or "accidentally" bumping the Nuke Mine Button.... Apologies profusely after woods of course, but by then he is dead....

Even underlevels arent allowed to kill other underlevels, which is where this guy was breaking the rules - he killed three (actually more, later on) other players that were all in starfliers and attempting to make transfers or just new to the server.

Personally I hate the "no underlevel killing" rule. I know it's there to prevent griefing of new players, but everyone should be responsible for their actions in-RP. This guy was a civilian that quite obviously went insane when he first launched into space, and the result was him murduring a bunch of other civilians.

Cops dont sit around and watch one person shoot three others, kill them, and not do a thing about it.

Well i was in a firefly transport... no nuke mines, and i cant exactly out-manuver a starflea.

It wasnt intended to be a slight against your faction.

Maybe the indie LSF knew about server rules and would not kill a Lv4 starflea.
Not everyone is willing to knowingly break the server rules like you have just admitted to.
Self defense also doesn't fly when your in a Firefly Transport and he's a starflea.
Just my take on it.

He according to you was blatantly aware of the rules and abusing them. I would love to use a supernova on him constantly.
